I have been lucky enough to have Mr. Goodman's help throughout the majority of my academic life. While participating in homeschooling through the end of elementary school and beginning of middle school, he was my instructor in mathematics each year. Additionally, Mr. Goodman was extremely helpful as a supplemental tutor when I needed help with my public high school math courses. I have received tremendous aid most recently in my college courses (both with my college course material, and in helping me to stay fresh with basic skills). Overall, I would highly recommend Mr. Goodman's tutoring services for any stage of learning. He has been extremely helpful and dedicated, both locally and long distance.
I weekly go to Andrea Crews for math and science tutoring. I have been going to her since 8th grade and I am currently a senior in high school. She explains concepts in a way that is easy to comprehend and she is so familiar with the types of questions teachers ask that she can make up her own problems for additional practice. She is a great tutor with lots of patience with a genuine desire to help her students. I would recommend Andrea for tutoring any day of the week.
We really enjoyed Mr. Gathany. He was pleasant and very professional. My daughter is taking the ACT Exam today (02/06/16) and we are confident with Mr. Gathany's tutoring, my daughter will succeed. We made the right choice.
Sam is an excellent tutor. He tutored me in Advanced Statistics. Sam is knowledgeable, resourceful, and professional. He presents the material in a way that supports the learning style of the person he is tutoring. I highly recommend Sam for tutoring needs.
I enjoyed the ACT tutoring course because I was given the same about of effort from my tutor, Mrs. Hypolite that I put into the lessons. She helped me increase my composite score 4 points. We set a goal, and focuced on each subject and where I needed to improve it. Our lessons were never rushed and I met each of my sub score goals successfully.
I signed up for Tutelage Academy when I finally realized that I needed to do something about my SAT/ACT scores. Within two weeks of working with the teachers there, I saw progress in my scores. Within the span of one month, I went from a 29 on the ACT and a 1800 on the SAT to a 33 on the ACT (2200 SAT). The teachers at Tutelage Academy adapt to every student's individual style of learning, and I genuinely enjoyed learning in the environment they have created. Because of their help, I was recently accepted into UGA, NYU, and the University of Michigan. These are colleges that would be out of my reach without the help of Tutelage Academy, and I cannot thank the teachers there enough.
Kellie is extraordinarily knowledgeable and well read on a number of subjects. She is a dedicated, career educator and professional whose mission is to make every student successful.
Rabia was so patient with my child and speaks to her on a level that she could absorb the curriculum much better than her high school teacher. The center is extremely professional and well kept. I highly recommend this business establishment and the pricing is exceptional for the value of the one-on-one tutoring your child will receive. I can't speak highly enough about our experience and how the tutoring paid off in my daughter's improved grades and overall performance in geometry.
After the first session, my son felt confident in Physics class. He participated in the classroom discussion for the first time in months and understood the material being covered. I am looking forward to Mason's continued success in Physics, with the help of Dr. Burkeen.
ACT Preparation My daughter struggled with learning the material to excellent on the ACT test. She had been going to a college prep program and was extremely frustrated with her practice scores. Time was running out as she is in her junior year. We needed a private tutor fast! Money was an issue so we could not afford a traditional tutor that charges over 100$ an hour. I searched online and found thumbtack. Immediately I received a response from an online tutor. I was hesitant at first but after the first conversation with George from Invictus Academe I was hooked!!! I just had to convince my daughter. After the first session she thanked me for finding this brilliant, patient, funny, amazing man. George has boosted my daughters confidence in a short time, and made her feel comfortable and most importantly she is learning the material and really understanding the math for the first time. Thank you thumbtack for providing the vehicle to bring George from Invictus Academe to us. We are ever so great full. Tasha Nunziato
Very professional. My daughter made a connection with her and was very pleased in the way she explained everything. Very patient and kind spirited. Will continue to have her work with my daughter.

I have a Bachelor of Arts' degree in English. I believe that teaching is more than imparting knowledge – it is inspiring change. Good teaching fosters sense of student control over learning and interest in the subject matter. I create learning tasks appropriate to the student’s level of understanding. I also recognize the right the uniqueness of individual learners and avoid the temptation to impose “mass production” standards that treat all learners as if they were exactly the same. In order for learning to occur, students need to connect to their own prior knowledge. Connections are like building bridges between the old and new. This building bridge can be brief or in-depth as long as it serves the needs of all learners. Reassessment determines prior knowledge whereas connections provides the link between old knowledge and new knowledge. I have been teaching AP Spanish and English for 20 years including two years at the middle school level. Each student learns differently and I always adjust my methods in order to get the best results from each learner. 98% of my students raised their English / Spanish AP grade from D to A; you/your child can, too. The role of a tutor is to help the student help himself. Tutoring is the short term answer to help the student gain confidence and learning skills. In other words, my objective is more than rote learning; it is about making connections to the real world. I include appropriate character development with real world connections with every lesson. Overall, I am trained to differentiate any lesson through scaffolding techniques, as well as rigorous assessment, making sure to present appropriate and leveled instruction. I look forward to meeting your student to see if we have an academic fit.
