Daniel's Guitar Lessons
About this pro
I am a career guitarist and musician with nine years of experience on the instrument. My primary goal with a new student is to make the process enjoyable and fun. For beginner students, the more fun they can have while practicing, the more they will play. This approach allows beginners to advance as much as possible with basic instruction, saving the less exciting aspects of musicianship to those who have become skilled enough to benefit from advanced techniques and music theory. While I am capable of teaching beginner guitar techniques for a wide array of styles, my advanced experience focuses on blues, country, rock, and folk music. I teach flatpicking, slide, and fingerstyle techniques, improvised and constructed lead guitar, and basic through intermediate music theory. I do not provide advanced instruction in classical, jazz, or flamenco styles, or in advanced music theory. I do not use a musical staff to teach; students DO NOT need to know or learn to read music. I provide reference material in the form of guitar tablature or chord diagrams most lessons. I teach mondays and tuesdays between 3-7 PM. I have a music room in my house I use for lessons; students are required to come to me. I charge $20 for a half hour lesson or $35 for an hour lesson. I accept cash payments every lesson or personal checks at the beginning of each month. Students are required to provide their own guitar and expected to practice 30 minutes per day independently to progress in skill. I currently play with The CreekSide Band on lead guitar and vocals.

Daniel is an awesome (and very patient!) guitar teacher! He is always willing teach any song you'd like to learn to play, and is great about working around busy schedules. I highly recommend him!Feb 2, 2015Verified
