Problem: Our rental home pipe burst under the slab from the hot water heater under the fire place and into the living room. We live away from the property in a different state.Date of Problem: Dec 11, 2015 (Sunday)Call to Plumber: Dec 12, 2016 (Monday) Recommended SerClean.Call to SerClean: Dec 12, 2016.Leak Stopped (not repaired): Dec 13, 2016 (Plumber)Drying begins by SerClean: Dec 13, 2016I am an engineer working in purchasing and have high expectations of my clients. Why SerClean:I had a pipe burst 12 months previous to this one and used a different company. I can offer comparisons from them to SerClean in my case.1. Quick ResponseMy pipe burst just before Christmas and SerClean was there in 1 day beginning the drying and Mitigation process.2. ReliabilityMy property is several hours' drive away. SerClean was professional and respectful to my tenants. They also took much of my headache away and contacted my tenants directly to explain the process and time. There were times that my tenants were gone and SerClean was in my home without supervision. Overall response from my tenants was very favorable. 3. CommunicationMichael took the lead and communicated with all entities in each step - the plumber, mitigation and repair. We spoke regularly through the complete process as I was concerned with the inconvenience to my tenants during Christmas. Details of communication needs:An insurance claim leak involves 3 basic steps: 1. Stopping the leak (may include accessing the leak if under the slab as in my case). 2. Mitigation and 3. Repair. Each of these could be done by different companies. Normally Step 1 is done by the plumber. Steps 2 and 3 can be done by the same company but internal communication can be extremely poor causing extended delays - as was my experience last year using SerClean's competitor. It lead me to finally call the CEO after 4 weeks of delays. It was a serious problem and my tenants were extremely inconvenienced.Michael also spoke with my insurance company to provide details when they had questions. Since both use the same software ExactoMate, it was seemless to me. Michael was able to get more money than I expected.4. QualityMy tenants are very picky people. Overall the quality was acceptable to them. Both SerClean and my tenants sent pictures of their work. My tenants found a few items after the work was done and SerClean came out the next day to take care of all the details. No complaints or excuses, just "yes sir" and "we will get it done immediately" from SerClean.5. TimingThe Plan vs Actual overall was 1 week delay. SerClean's Plan to finish: Dec 23. SerClean's actual finish: Dec 30.Cause: We took 3 days to decide if we would fix the problem under the slab or re-pipe the whole house since we had poor piping. Michael had to put his crew on another job. 2 days after we decided to re-pipe Michael's crew was available. In this case, the delay was our responsibility and SerClean finished within their commitments.6. CommitmentIt didn't matter what time of the day the problems and work happened. Michael sent communications to me well after normal business hours confirming to me he was committed to solving my problems.I learned that Michael had MANY jobs going on at the same time, but it was only after I asked him. He responded to me immediately in all cases even when he was on a different job. 7. Recommend or not....Not only would I recommend SerClean and Michael's crew but I would use them again in an instant.Hope this is helpful.

Own a home, they said. It will be fun, they said. Don't get me wrong, I love owning my home. However, it also comes with "fun" learning experiences. For example, when your water heater takes in consideration that you would love to have a pool by trying to make one...... ugh! After my exceptional plumber from Plumber Pro in Monroe fixed the offending issue, he recommended SerClean to pop on over and check the damage that my "helpful" heater caused. Micheal and his crew showed up 30 minutes after the phone conversation with me. They immediately got to work, checking my walls and floors with their fancy meters and came up with a game plan. Those guys are a well oiled machine! In no time, they had the damaged portions of walls removed and had fans and other interesting looking machines hooked up and ready to go! Seeing as how I had never done anything like this, Michael was wonderful enough to help me get the ball rolling with my insurance who, thankfully, are being wonderful during this ordeal as well. When life hands you (leaky) lemons, SerClean rocks the lemonade. :)(...I find myself funny!)

Avoid these people. They damaged our counters when removing them, charged us for moving the stove and refrigerator when they didn't touch either, and charged for extra days of drying fans that weren't used. They charged me an emergency fee when it took them 2 days to get out to us and after they tore my kitchen out they waited 2 weeks to get the invoice in to our insurance so we can try to return to some sort of normalcy. Last thing someone wants to do when trying to get their home back to normal is trying to play phone tag with people so you can get your kitchen again. Thanks! Not again. I'd rather handle this all myself than let them touch anything even remotely near my home again.

I had a portable AC unit leak in my bedroom upstairs and the damage was extensive but SerClean did a phenomenal job! Tim came out and surveyed the extent of the damage, set up mitigation for drying everything out and Chris (the contractor) was fantastic! State Farm dragged their feet and then my mortgage company dragged theirs even slower but Chris worked with me and got the job done efficiently and in the timely manner that was so critical to my particular situation. Even the owner of the company was compassionate and extremely thoughtful in the handling of my business. I am so grateful they were recommended to me and I will pass that terrific recommendation to anyone else who will listen! Thanks again SerClean and Chris for doing such a wonderful job!

This company is efficient, professional and highly recommended! We were out of the country and received a call from a relative that our entire first floor flooded overnight due to broken ice maker water line . We called Serclean and they arrived within the hour to handle it. We arrived home the following evening to the house being dried out with equipment, items moved, wet carpets and water-damaged sheet rock, base boards etc removed. They are honest! Since a relative was house-sitting we didnt secure our valuables/ jewelry which were left out on dressers. When we returned home, even though furniture was moved to dry out the walls, all valuable items were where we left them. The company kept us abreast of timeline and tests measured/completed.I dont usually take time to write review, but this company is deserving of it ! Thank you SerClean Athens!
