FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based off of several details. First, by square footage, as I prefer to propose one singular price to a client, opposed to an hourly rate. Second, by the description of what the client wants; i.e. the style, content, complexity...the more details the better! And third, by the time in which the client needs the work done. I always try to find ways to accommodate my clients to make the paying process easier for them, but still remain fair to industry standards.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to build relationships with any new customer, since I am going to be producing a vision that might be very personal or important to them. Meeting in person, preferably at the location, is my first step in getting to know them, as well as really understanding their ideas. If we haven't already agreed on a price, that's always the next step so there is no confusion later on. I'll send the client an invoice stating the specific details of the job, with a date of completion, and costs. Once all of that is out of the way, I create a schedule that is both convenient for myself as well as the client, to come and work on the project. This is an area I am usually very flexible in. I then get the materials I need, and am ready to start bringing your vision to life!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been painting my whole life. By that, I mean I made sure to have something in an art show every year since I was 6 years old. In high school I started teaching kids, and even students my age as a peer facilitator. My sophomore year of high school, I was asked to do my first mural at a Pediatrics office (the train station featured on my profile). From there, I was getting most of my work through people I knew, which is still the case sometimes. However this website has given me a whole new network of people and businesses, which has really broadened my clientele and portfolio!
