- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A customer may be looking for a quantity of balloons. If so, they are priced per piece with tax and delivery. Otherwise, they are looking for decorating services. In this case a price out each arrangement, then add the installation, delivery and tax.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically meet a customer over the phone, usually someone I met at a previous event or a referral. I ascertain whether the customer has specific arrangements that they want or whether they are looking for creative counsel. Then we discuss the location, design parameters and budget. I then put this info in an invoice, send it to them and they accept it or asks for edits. Then we finalize my participation in the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been to several balloon conventions and have taken classes on design. I also was president of the Georgia Qualatex Balloon Network, a business development association for two terms. My 30 years of experience in this business is my best training.
