Our dynamite vocalist is accompanied by awesome horns (2,3 or 4!) and rhythm tracks to provide a full and beautiful sound of a 10-18 piece band with only 3 performers! Perfect for smaller venues, home parties and restaurants and easy on your budget yet also perfect for high energy events and dances. We perform everything from rock, pop, Motown, oldies, jazz, R&B, Disco, Latin, soul, blues, country, top 40 through all decades. We have professional sound gear, sound engineer and effect lighting. City Beat Entertainment Productions also offers DJ services, emcee and event co-ordination services. DJ services in additional to live music make for a complete package of entertainment! Becoming very popular is using live music for a portion of your wedding or event and also DJ services for yet another part of the event. If your wedding or special event calls for a larger all-live band, we simply add in our rhythm talent for a fantastic and entertaining 8-10 piece band. Performing and entertaining audiences of all ages with music of all genres. We really enjoy watching people enjoy the music we perform. I went with this band based strictly on reviews and didn't regret my decision at all!!! Miss. Donna was easy to work with and helped with suggestions as far as music and the setup. They were very involved with the crowd and moved around throughout the space. Amazing band!

Overall, the pianist did an amazing job at the wedding ceremony. The team was on time, played the right music at the right cues, and was a pleasure to work with before the ceremony (very fair price!) . The reason for the 4 star was the equipment that was used. During the ceremony, it seemed like the speaker cables started to give out and the quality of the sound coming out started to degrade while the bridesmaids were walking down the aisle... additionally, during our vows, the speaker cable was ripped out and caused a big, quick sound (the sound a speaker makes when you take it out without turning off the amp). Very small issues, but was noticeable. I would hire City Beat Band again in a heartbeat since speaker cables go out all the time. Highly recommended
City Beat Band's reply
Congratulations again on your wedding! Absolutely beautiful setting. My deepest apologies about the sound quality during the processional. In hindsight, we felt the amp/cables/electrical got overheated sitting in the sun for close to 2 hours before the ceremony. We didnt experience that problem warming up or during guest seating music but unfortunately it happened during the processional. During the ceremony time we angled the amp and moved the cables in attempts to get better air flow and it appeared to be better for the recessional. We should have tented or covered the set up prior to performing and will definitely do that in the future. Again my apologies it wasnt perfect for you.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We do not use a standard pricing system because all events are unique and clients should only pay for what they want. There are many factors to consider when pricing your event but remember that we are always negotiable and rarely do we find that we cannot meet our clients budget while still providing great talent and entertainment. Live or DJ music has a minimum booking of 1 hour or $200. We offer package pricing where the more services you use, the better the price of the package!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The typical process when working with a new live music entertainment client is to listen and gather all the information they have to share about their event such as the type of event, date, time, place and style(s) and genres of music they desire. Examples of music style/type are dinner music, dance music, ceremony music, background music, seating music, cocktail music, party music, reception music and more. We work closely with our clients and offer suggestions to help them make their decisions when and where they may need help. After establishing the perfect entertainment choices and timing, the band begins rehearsing that specific plan as well as any special requested music. Event co-ordination, emcee services and DJ break music are offered as needed. The date and time of the event then flows smoothly and stress free and the client and their guests are professionally entertained!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

City Beat has worked with most all types of clients and events. Weddings, conventions, corporate and private events and parties, festivals, fundraisers, community celebrations, clubs, restaurants, street parties, dances, anniversary's, birthdays, holiday parties, grand openings, art exhibitions and more.
