Introduction: I was first introduced to cooking by my grandmother at the age of seven. I spent many summers in the kitchen with my grandmother preparing breakfast and learning how to preserve fresh fruit and vegetables from our garden. It was at that moment that I developed an interest for cooking and by the age of 10, I knew my way around a cookbook and began using them for inspiration. I was one of 16 home cooks from across the country who competed on the Food Network’s culinary competition series, America’s Best Cook. Hosted by Ted Allen, the 16 cooks were divided into four teams representing the South, North, East, and West. Each team was mentored by a Food Network chef. I proudly represented Team South, mentored by celebrity chef Cat Cora. Committed to bringing family members back to the dinner table and recouping their love for Sunday dinners. My first cookbook, A Bit of This, A Bit of That: Comfort Food for the Eclectic Soul was published in 2014.

Nikki and her sous chef Shawn prepared a wonderful buffet for our “Meet the Newlyweds” party for my son and new daughter-in-law visiting from another state. Our guests made many comments during our celebration and even days afterwards about how delicious the food was! Nikki is quite creative, and it was obvious to us that not only can she cook, but she also loves to cook. The day of the party, Nikki and Shawn arrived right on time and quickly set up an attractive buffet with foods served at appropriate temperatures. During the event, if I started working in the kitchen, Nikki said she would be happy to complete whatever it was and encouraged me to return to my guests and enjoying my meal. Nikki and Shawn attended to everything well. Towards the end of the party, Nikki and Shawn made short order of cleaning and wrapping up leftovers for us. We are so thankful we found Nikki’s business. We were able to offer our guests such an amazing meal at a reasonable price. It was a pleasure to work with Nikki from start to finish. We wholeheartedly recommend Nikki Bell and “Nikki Can Cook” catering. Sincerely, Deborah and Robert Sullivan from Roswell, GA

Nikki took a last minute catering event for my husbands funeral. Even though she was traveling at the time of my inquiry, she responded extremely fast. She provided the information I needed quickly to make a decision and was very easy to work with. I had some special requests and she was happy to oblige. In such a difficult time Nikki came through and did not disappoint. The food was delicious, and plentiful and she was prompt and professional. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for good quality food.

Nikki is a fabulous personal chef & caterer. We hired her and and her team to cater our wedding reception of 60 guests. The buffet was setup nice and the food was even better! We truly enjoyed the entire spread from Coconut-Curry Chicken Skewers to some kind of macaroni pie she made. It was all delicious! I recommend her for next event!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We have a required minimum of $300 in order to provide services, regardless of guest count. We do offer discounts for large groups of 100+ and we work non-profits to create a menu to fit within a budget.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We typically like to set up a phone call to discuss menu expectations, guest count, and budget. Or if the client prefers, we can discuss via Thumbtack messaging.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't be motivated by price, search for a provider who's personality and cooking style will compliment your event and expectations.
