Introduction: Hey everyone! We are new to thumbtack but have been around since 2017. Our head trainer, Jonathan, has been training dogs for 10 years. At Explore Dog Training, we do daily training where we come to you 5 days a week and do all of the training. Daily training provides all the benefits of a board and train, however, your dog never has to stay a night away. All obedience training programs come with a turnover and multiple follow up private lessons. We are also an AKC evaluator and certain programs come with the opportunity to obtain the good canine citizenship or other certifications. Depending on your dog's age, behavior, and previous training experience, we offer different levels of dog training services. With our obedience school, you can select from a variety of obedience courses, or you can design a program tailored specifically for your dog. Training for fearful or aggressive dogs, obedience training, and advanced off-leash training are among our services.

We rescued two young Boston Terriers and they both were acting out in different ways — horrible leash walkers, lacked knowledge of basic commands as well as some jealousy/aggression issues. Jonathan was our trainer and he was amazing! The training and tools that he worked with us on has made such a difference in our home - the pups now have structure, boundaries and are excellent walkers. Jonathan is patient, knowledgeable and great with dogs, plus he was always accessible and responsive - would highly recommend!

I cannot recommend this service enough! We rescued a 4 year old Aussie last year and just wanted to get her some obedience training to make her more manageable around guests. Jonathan has been a huge help and was incredibly patient throughout the entire process. She learned sit, down, heel, stay, and come all in a few short weeks and she is a pro now! This is the perfect training course for almost any dog. Also, not only is Jonathans's schedule super flexible, he's also available whenever needed via text, call, or email. It was super easy to get in touch with him, and he always replied with very helpful insights on how to improve. This helped us greatly as we moved through the program. Loved the entire experience honestly, and our dog is happier and more well behaved afterwards. Thanks Jonathan!

Jonathan has been knowledgeable beyond our expectations, and has had insightful and clear directions for all scenarios. It is not often you meet people who are made for their profession but Jonathan truly is, his ability to Frame and understand a situation and personality of our Golden has made him unbelievably valuable to us and our dogs future. We cannot say thank you enough to Jonathan and her Explore Dog training for their incredible training of our doberman! Our girl first worked with them for puppy training as an anxious and fearful dog with severe separation anxiety. After 2 weeks she became a completely different puppy! She then completed basic obedience with Jonathan and she is now a confident and independent girl! She does great with her commands and we have even started doing some off leash things with her too! Because of Jonathan, our girl just passed her AKC canine good citizen test! She has come SO FAR in just one year and it's all thanks to Explore Dog Training!
