Thumbtack Spotlight

Neutral Place

(2 reviews)

Cherri Brown is a mediator who specializes in domestic relations, civil court, child custody, and workplace disputes services. She also offers life coaching services and mentoring adults in their transition, specifically women who are entering or returning to education programs.

Her mediation clients are those people who want somebody to listen and understand what they are going through. These are the ones who need to make a way to gain back confidence and achieve a better future after a case has been resolved.

For Cherri, there is always hope in every warring client.

My most humbling and gratifying project was with a warring couple who, after stating and viewing their statements on my flip-board, could visualize the effect of their differences through the perspective of their children. They made their arrangements and agreements without using their children as chattel. That rocked my world.

Experience what Cherri Brown can offer you. She can mediate and coach whatever battle you are facing.

  • Caring & Compassionate Lawyer

    Joyce F. Glucksman, P.C.

After over 35 plus years as an attorney and litigator, I have decided that the courts are too busy to provide the type of time needed to resolve issues in a timely manner or involving emotions. These include family matters, divorce, custody, support, parenting time, interfamily probate issues, family businesses, partnership splits (both business and domestic partnership), employment discrimination, wrongful termination and sexual or other harassment. Mediation and arbitration are private, not public as a matter in court would be. Privacy is often desirable because it doesn't air "dirty laundry" in public. My background is in employment, family and business law, so I can handle a variety of issues.

  • Divorce Attorney Mediators

    2 Step Divorces

2 Step Divorces does divorce differently. With offices in Atlanta and Fayetteville, our mediators are conveniently located to assist families going through the transition of separation and divorce. Our mediators are also attorneys, trained to ask good questions and draft detailed agreements in order to help you generate options and solutions on how you will tease apart your lives into two separate futures. 2 Step Divorces schedules three-hour appointments and shorter sessions that allow individuals to gather more information or legal advice along the way and to be able to review interim/drafted agreements between sessions (if multiple sessions are needed). We also offer courses to help individuals prepare for these discussions or for their first meeting with the legal counsel. When parties have attended our "Crash Course Divorce," they routinely comment that it helped them make better decisions on how they would separate and divorce, keeping greater control in an overwhelming transition. Details
I was hired in October 2012 to do work on a mobile app for Adelyte. The arrangement was $2500.00 for 100 hours of work in addition to receiving 10% of a new company that the mobile app would be launched under. I was paid for November. I did not ask for any payment for December as the much of the time was spent on research. I was paid for January. I worked 140 hours in February but was never paid the agreed upon $2500. There was a sharp disagreement in how to handle the 10% (at this point only 5%) as an exit as the company was never formed and there is not equity. I'm fine retaining my rights to the project as this was not a "work made for hire", and if any substantial money was ever made from the project, I would pursue my 5% at that time. However, they would rather cut all ties with me, which is fine as well. In order for me to give up any ownership I have in project, I want compensation for my time. Due to this agreement, Adelyte has created all sorts of arguments as to why they cannot or are unwilling to pay the $2500.00. I see them as two separate matters. I performed labor as agreed and sent them an invoice for that time; I expect to paid per our agreement terms. Unfortunately, the CEO of Adelyte was a close personal friend of mine and as such, all of our agreements were via chat or email. Most everything pertinent is documented, but not through a traditional contract. We wish to come to some sort of agreement instead of going to court. In regards to travel, mediation would have to be done via skype as I currently reside out of the country.
