Introduction: CLARINET LESSON (NOT SAXOPHONE). I am the current International Concert Artist of the Mu Phi Epsilon, Piatigorsky Foundation, and instructor of clarinet at the Florida A&M University. I have toured in the United States, Europe, South America, and Asia as a concert soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. I love to explore a wide repertoire of classical, jazz, ethnic, pop, rock, and contemporary music. I have been teaching clarinet for over 20 years and have experience working with students from beginner to collegiate levels. Student accomplishment includes: MTNA competition, honor/all-state bands, summer music festivals, scholarships, graduate schools, and military bands (Navy and Marine).
My lesson will offer a flexible array of topics, including but not limited to the following:

* Musical Style and Phrasing
* Improvisation and How to Read Jazz/Chords
* Music Theory and Dictation
* Orchestral Excerpts, Solo and Chamber Repertoires
* How to Overcome Performance Anxiety
My goal is to teach, guide, reform, and prepare students of all ages and levels, enhance performance opportunities by developing a personalized repertoire to meet every individual's progress - whether that may be for regional orchestra, summer programs (i.e. music camps, festival institutes), college programs, competitions, beginning to learn, or just for fun - I am here to help you!
Professional Preparation: Doctoral degree in music performance from the Florida State University, Artist Diploma and Master's degree from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and Bachelor's from San Jose State University.
