- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If I feel something will have more complex pricing, I spell out the terms in an attorney fee agreement. There should be no surprises for the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I participate in many continuing education courses throughout the year. I also subscribe to many attorney chat groups in my various fields where I gain knowledge and ask questions. I have many close attorney colleagues who practice in various areas. If I have a pressing legal issue, I am able to pick up the phone and draw upon this vast resource.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been fascinated with the law. During college at Denison University in Ohio, I was selected through the Honors Program to do an internship with the West Virginia Attorney General's Office. Love to help people and businesses going through difficult times.
