Gamble is warm and pleasant, while also making sure I get the most instruction for my time. They make sure to ask where I hope to go so that we can have achievable goals together. The lessons are an ideal blend of professionalism and friendly personableness in the most genuine way.Aug 27, 2019Verified
I cannot believe how lucky I am to have found such a teacher as Gamble. As a student of music and career musician, I was very nervous to take my first-ever piano lesson, assuming that any potential teacher would either demand too much of me based on my background or else treat me like a music novice based on my piano skill. Gamble somehow managed to find a perfect medium, teaching to my strengths and shedding light on my weaknesses such that I could go home and practice in a way that was both fundamental and rigorous. Since our lesson the other day, I haven't been able to step away from the keyboard. I find myself energized and motivated to push, learn, and grow, and feel like I finally have the tools to do so at the pace that's right for me. If you're like me and you've hit a wall after trying to teach yourself the instrument for fifteen odd years, I cannot recommend Gamble highly enough. Regardless of your musical background, skill, and ambitions, Gamble will surely be able to help you define your goals and put in the effort in a way that helps you achieve them expediently and confidently.Oct 6, 2019Verified
I’m really enjoying my piano lessons with Gamble and highly recommend hiring Gingerbread Music for your music needs! It’s really intimidating to try to learn a new skill as an adult, but Gamble always makes me feel at ease and our lessons are very fun and specifically tailored to my goals and interests as an artist. I also really appreciate the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere of their home studio, including the cute doggo and kitties that greet you at the door. It’s clear to me that Gamble possesses the necessary musical knowledge, skill and talent while also being a truly exceptional teacher. That’s a rare combo, so don’t wait to start learning from Gamble!Aug 30, 2019
This is a small and warm studio. Gamble is vibrant and pleasant, as well as her dog and cats. We discuss the goals together, and she teaches in ways that interest me. I look forward to continuing to work with her in the future.Jan 3, 2020Verified
Gamble is the best! They are extremely accomplished in their craft and have taught me a lot about my own recording work and music. 13/10 would recommend.Jul 28, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? The rates listed are for pay-as-you-go lessons in my studio. Depending on distance, lessons in your home will incur a $5-10 travel fee to compensate for time, traffic, and vehicle expenses. Bundled lessons (paid in advance) are eligible for a discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I'll get to know what their goals are, as well as what their current skill level is. We hit the ground running, or, in other words, we start making music immediately!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have Bachelors and Masters degrees. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Georgia, and I earned my Master of Music in Music Education from Boston University. My primary instrument is piano, secondary is voice, and tertiary are percussion, guitar, and bass.
