My fiance and I found Peg on Thumbtack while searching for a pre-marital counselor. Going to Peg was one of the best things we could have done for our relationship. She is patient, transparent, open-minded, and does not judge. My fiance and I are much more prepared for a lifelong commitment after seeing Peg. I would recommend her services for any couple that wants to better understand each other in order make their marriage work. I am sure we will continue to see her for fine tuning during the relationship.Apr 6, 2017Verified

Reasonable price. She's been helping us get through all the premarital issues we've had and we'll continue to see her for guidance and help.Aug 11, 2017

Thank you Darlene
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I work on a sliding fee scale, determined by the client's ability to pay. I also accept BC/BS and Humana insurance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First I want to hear what brings you in, and get specifics about your issue. (is there a pattern; are there outside stressors, etc.) Next I want to know what your goals for therapy are. We we wiill break down your goals into bite-sized steps. Depending on your needs, I may ask you to do homework, or consider specific causes of what you want to work on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? All counselors must have 35 hours of approved continuing education every two years. I also take training in specialized areas, such as trauma, grief, anxiety, family conflicts, marriage counseling, and divorce.
