FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Looking up new music written for strings is a must for our performances. Some clients like all classical. And, some clients want a mixture of musical styles. I am thankful to those arrangers who arrange popular songs for string musicians.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I attended a performing arts magnet high school. I was approached by a guest performer to sub as a cellist for a wedding. It was after this performance that I knew I wanted to continue to perform for special events. Because it was my first wedding performance, I was nervous. But, it was a good nervous energy. I enjoyed performing and the feeling of providing a quality performance. Plus, as a sophomore, I was getting paid to perform well. I enjoyed performing, the client was happy, and I got paid! Win-win-win!
