My name is Joyce Lane and I live in NorthernKentucky. I have known Megan Alig since 2004 when we worked as servers at a fine dining restaurant. She was always an excellent server and manager, but I knew she wanted to more back of the house with her cooking abilities. Megan would bring us gardening catalogs in January and by the summer we would have amazing dishes she had made from this garden. I knew that one day she would pursue her passion and further her career with something she loved to do, and that was being a chef. i do know one thing for sure, Megan's passion for being a chef has paid off for her and she should be proud. I would love to see her own and run her own restaurant someday. She would be an inspiration to so many people, and her culinary skills would be an asset to any establishment.
Dishes was well prepared. Mixture of seasoning and spices that was great on the pallet, not overpowering the dish. The texture of the meat was cooked to perfect, not over done. Mac and cheese was blended with several kinds of cheese, warm and creamy. Desert was banana pudding which was absolutely delicious. The cookies and bananas were firm not mushy. The pudding inside was just right, not overly sweet, not to think. The overall meal, the experience was very enjoyable.

Kathleen was an excellent choice for our Christmas party in a large assembly room at the church. She willingly made a trip to the site weeks before the event to survey the kitchen and dining area and meet some of the organizers. Then, on the very rainy night of the party, she arrived at the time agreed upon, completed preparations begun at home in the church kitchen (leaving it probably in better condition than when she arrived). She had 3 assistants with her and besides cooking, they decorated and set up 7 buffet tables to serve the 115 guests. With 3 meat choices, potatoes, rice, dressing, noodles and multiple vegetables, 2 salads, homemade rolls and 4 desserts it was a sumptuous feast. All the food was well prepared, hot (if it should have been) and cold (as appropriate), attractively presented, and in more than adequate proportion. The serving dishes were kept filled during the buffet, and Kathleen moved around the room checking with seated guests to be sure all was right. At the close of the meal, when the group was enjoying musical entertainment, Kathleen and her staff unobtrusively cleared the tables and packaged remaining food. Since few in our group needed "take outs" Kathleen happily took leftovers to three needy families she was aware of. The price we agreed upon was VERY acceptable, the terms of payment easy, and Kathleen's willingness to adapt to our changing numbers and letting us actually decorate our own dining tables made everyone happy. WE would certainly recommend her services to anyone.
