Told the professional my brother had died and I was trying to prepare the residence for a gathering, following the funeral, which meant that I had a deadline (Fri). He said he could definitely do that and would be here Wed to mow the yard. Wed he called near the end of the day to tell me that he got sidetracked needing to pick up a new piece of work equipment, but that he would be here first thing in the morning on Thursday. I thanked him for communicating with me about what was going on. Thursday he did not show up early. I texted him several times throughout the day and he kept telling me he would be here, then at 3PM he texted that he had just started towards my house and it had begun to ran. I immediately texted him back that it was not raining where I am in North Augusta, that the North Augusta weather showed a very low chance of rain for the next half hour, and less than 1% chance of rain for the rest of the day, after that. He acted as if he was coming over, given the absence of rain, but did not show. I texted him one more time, near 5 and he still maintained that I could expect to see him, but he still never showed, despite not one drop of rain having fallen on my yard and the knowledge that I was dealing with the death of a loved one. His deception and unprofessionalism prevented me from being able to hire someone more reliable and thus my yard was not presentable for my funeral guests. Unfortunately, negative stars is not an option.
