- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly studying trends and new ideas to add to the Deli menu as well as my catering menu. ServSafe certification is every five years and I am always keeping my staff up to date on safe food handling.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Soon after I opened the Deli, I was asked by a friend to cater a large cookout. It went very well and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and couldn't wait until the next event. I put myself out there as a caterer, began submitting and winning bids.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Buffet style dinners. Lots of grilled and BBQ items, from grilled chicken and pulled pork to steak and such. Tasty sides to go with it too of course!
