FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Royale takes great pride in establishing working relationships and partnerships with our customers. A big part of that processes is getting to know our customers before we proceed with details of a contract or payment. We want to sit down with you in a relaxed setting so we can know more--not just about the special event, but about you as a person. Our questionnaire that you will receive prior to or during or consultation helps us to understand you so we can better serve you and ensure we start the process to your big event on one accord.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have an undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Fashion Merchandising from the University of North Alabama. I have always loved entertaining and organizing social gatherings and seeing people happy. I grew up around entrepreneurs (my dad and granddaddy) that I adored and desired to be like. Thus, I knew I wanted to have my own business but I didn't know what exactly. All I knew is I didn't want it to seem like work. So it dawned on me to put it all together; my schooling, my experience, and desire to run my own establishment and Royale Signature Events was birthed. This business allows me to have the best of everything. I enjoy every moment; the ups and downs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring an event planner, the key trait to pay attention to is people skills. A good planner should be able to communicate well by listening and speaking, because communication is key in making dreams a reality. Also, a planner with good people skills will make you feel comfortable and comes across as being relaxed. This shows that they can handle stress well and which helps alleviate stress for you. Same is true for a designer, but creativity is the most imporant. Everyone wants elements about there event that will stand out from the crowd and be memorable. A designer that is creative will be able to do this based on what has been communicated to them.
