Introduction: Being upfront and honest is #1 and that's why I let people know in the interview stage whether or not I can perform the service they request. As a teenager I began working as a Photographer for my father, graduated from Photography School, and as a Professional Photographer for 40 years I've been photographing wonderful things and wonderful people. November 15, 2014, Tirschel Photography was asked to provide portraits for the Marine Corps Birthday Ball, hosted by the Marine Corps League's Griffin and McDonough Detachments. The ball was held at Barnstormers Grill in Williamson, GA. Mr. Tirschel arrived in plenty of time to set up his equipment prior to the arrival of our first guests, and was both friendly and professional. The package pricing was very reasonable. Everyone loved their finished portraits. He even walked around taking candid shots throughout the evening and gave us a disk of those pictures. This year's ball is November 14 and we're already looking forward to having Mr. Tirschel back. Many, many thanks, Sir!

If you have the opportunity to hire Dick Tirschel for any type of photographic position, TAKE IT. Photography isn't a knack, it is a finely honed gift that is polished through hard work and a definable skill. I have been in magazine publishing since 1995, and use Mr. Tirschel whenever his schedule allows. We have used him for covers, events and family portraits. He has a natural eye for lighting, to the extent that I can look at a photo and tell you he took it. He is patient with his subjects and will not stop until you get the photo you are hoping for. He loves what he does, and does not simply shoot because it is a job. He has pride in his work and that gives it meaning; to him, and you. He is a Southern Gentleman and former US Marine, which should tell you he is charming and reliable. I recommend him with ease and confidence that he would never risk my reputation by disappointing a client. He is expert at everything from Martial Arts action to Marital Arts (weddings) and portraits. If you need more than that...call me 845-321-2929, I trust him.

Duke Tirschel has a heart of GOLD and it shows in his photography. He always goes the extra mile with everything he does. Photography isn't a job for Duke, its a passion. He has worked with just about everyone big name in my industry, and with the smallest of children as well, and I have never heard a negative word about him or his products. I highly recommend Duke Tirschel as a person and as a photographer!

I have known Mr Tirschel for over 30 years & have used his photography services many times for special events in my life. The results have always been fantastic. Not only were the pictures great but the his creative genius made them unique & the most creative arrangement of guest pictures. His incredible talent to deliver an exceptional product has always been my experience. The most recent experience was for my wife's 65th birthday where he went above & beyond his professional photography skills to make my guests feel totally involved in the pictures and DVD he provided me. I would certainly continue to use his services when needed.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not have a standard pricing system since I don't have a standard service. One photo assignment could be quite different than another one. The pricing will be suited to fit variations the customer may desire, and will be discussed in advance. There's no hidden charges and my work is 100% guaranteed satisfaction.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Number one, is to know what the customer wants, and to be upfront with them so they would know whether or not I have what it takes to provide the results they expect to receive. And since they're a new customer - I would do what I could to place them at ease so as to boost their confidence, so they can be relaxed, and be their true self in front of the camera.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Father was a photographer and I worked for him , before entering the Marine Corps and graduating from Photography School in NAS Pensacola Florida. After the service I worked for Technicolor Corporation in Burbank CA and then the Polaroid Industrial Marketing Division, Olan Mills, and followed with 36 years at my Tirschel Photography Studio... shooting weddings, portraits, children and sports.
