- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Handyman labor rate 65$/hr 2 hr minimum, plus fuel surcharge if over 20 miles.....Welding and fabrication Shop rate $65/hr-no minimum..(shop in Monticello, FL)...Mobile welding rate $125/hr with 3 hr minimum.....all other trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry) are $65/hr for journeyman skilled labor and $35/hr for apprentice skilled labor.....Subcontracting and general contracting services available at negotiable rates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1-Introduction.2-Customer explaining details about work to be completed.3-Gather material cost and estimate labor cost. Get engineering involved if necessary, then submit quote to customer.4-Customer provides deposit for work to be completed, and set up pay structure/contracts for long term jobs. 5-Perform work per customer request and settle remaining balance when completed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Before being self employed I was a union pipe fitter (Journeyman). I was a Foreman on numerous jobs, and even a General Forman on a few jobs. All together we hold various licenses and welding certifications. Together we have over 50 yrs experience across the trades. Yearly continuing education is required for all of our journeyman level employees and 1099 subs. OSHA 10 Safety training, background checks, and mandatory drug screening for all employees...We also teach welding classes and serve the community doing charity work.
