I was looking for whole house pressure washing and gutter painting. I called Austin and he was willing to do both if I bought the paint and supplies for 300.00 dollars,we have a small house. Seemed resonable; we had pressure washing last year and paid 100.00 dollars. Austin came,completed pressure washing and started painting and then had to stop due to weather. He has made excuses every day since about why he can't complete the painting. We unfortunately paid Austin in cash and on the first day he came out-bad move. At this point we will complete the job ourselves and just be out of the money. Just wanted others to know Austin will give you a sob story about needing the money up front because he is between jobs; the reality is he gets the money and then bails.

Dr. Pressure's reply

I didn't ask for the mo eu up front, and I never do. I told the customer that I was not a painter, and it wouldn't be professionally painted. The customer then called demanding me to be there the next day, and was rude and threatening. So I decided not to go out of my way to help someone that was very disrespectful.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Obtain a quote upfront, Never pay until the job is complete. Set expectations before the work begins. Sometimes it's OK to let someone know that a 50 year old oil stain may be there for another 50 years!!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Water can clean just about anything!
