- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not hard at all. Material and time for delivering and hand picking the material so you get the best possible for the money paid which at average is close to what they deliver it for , except they grab any type material. Then I figure The estimated time to complete the job. I total up hourly wage for 3 skilled tradesman and add a percentage for insurance or any special equipment, which we have most of , and submit estimate to the home owner. No estimator software . .
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
finding exactly what they want snd putting it all together and giving best cost posible without cutting prices just to get the jobs. no one ever benifits from cutting the price just to get the work in the end it ruins relationship of you and them and the clients. everyone wants it cheap and if they want to do them so cheap ill give them a job and they can quite ruinning the ecomeny by cutting others throats ,let someone bid the job and then they can do it. everyone wins then
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
yes you have to . codes change from year to year and you cant miss one year or whoops your building blocks just tumbled and you must start again
