About this pro
Tony Pope took on a job to design a property for me that will be constructed in a very restricted historic district. He listened carefully to what I had envisioned as a replacement home after the 1895 Queen Anne house had been demolished. His intuition of what I wanted was a tremendously helpful when I have absolutely no experience in architectural planning and designs. I have not been able to find anyone who would help me with this challenging project. Finding Mr. Pope was a wonderful blessing. The patience he has exhibited was very much appreciated because he worked diligently to help me meet the filing deadline with the Preservation Commission. Judy W., 01/23/2015Feb 2, 2015

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In addition to maintaining a minimum of 25 hours of Continuing Education each year, I participate in bi-weekly meetings with product vendors for interior and exterior products. I also subscribe to several design and technical professional publications to stay abreast of new technologies and other issues that affect professional practice.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Growing up I enjoyed building model cars, motors, and other gadgets. I had a passion for taking things apart and rebuilding them without instructions. I believed that the way things fit together should be obvious and that their disassembly/assembly should be clear. The passion for assembling pieces and parts led me to the love for assembling building elements to create functional spaces to live, work, play and worship.
- What types of customers have you worked with?1. Conceptual Design Includes programming, preliminary conceptual plans, elevations, and renderings. Conceptual designs can be used when an owner is seeking preliminary approval from an agency or seeking preliminary pricing from contractors. These documents cannot be used for construction since they lack construction detailing. 2. Full Architectural Services Services include programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction observation. 3. Master Plan Studies Services typically include some programming of spaces and or facilities, site studies and analysis, adjacency studies, square foot construction cost analysis, conceptual drawings and renderings.
