Jennifer was truly a God sent angel fro my wedding festivities. I first contacted her to drape my reception and gazebo/canopy where the ceremony would be held. Then, I knew I would need a florist and a decorator for the day of, so she let me know she could do this as well. First, her spirit was so pure and graceful, she was relaxed, and she gave me the sense that she knew exactly what I wanted and everything would be fine. This was when I realized Jennifer was an amazing person and great at what she does. I trusted her judgment and her work. The week of the wedding, my mom asked Jennifer if she could decorate my bridal shower. Jennifer agreed. The shower was BEAUTIFUL!!! It was better than anything I could have imagined and everyone raved about the decorations. She did the prettiest background with flowers and set up the Southern Elegance theme just as I'd imagined!! I was blown away! I couldn't imagine how at the last minute, Jennifer came well equipped with everything to make my event so wonderful! Then, for the wedding, Jennifer worked tirelessly, making sure everything I wanted was immaculate! From the drapery on the canopy to the centerpieces, the flowers, the sweetheart table, the cake table, the favors table, the programs and sparklers.... the list could go on! Everything was top quality, everyone was amazed, everything ran so smoothly that the videographer told me that I was the most relaxed bride he had ever encountered. I was relaxed, and only because Jennifer took my vision fro my big day and made it INCREDIBLE!! I cannot thank her more, but I recommend her 100000%! She is not only an amazing wedding coordinator, but a new friend, and angel in my life! I can't wait until our baby shower!!! :)Aug 28, 2018Verified
2.1.19 REVIEW UPDATE Initially Jennifer was very responsive, however she couldn’t meet deadlines. She stated she would email my vendors and bridal party 1 mo out, but the email went out 3 days later. She wouldn’t return phone calls or texts. Then had the gall to say she was at a loss when my fiancé and I spoke to her about timeliness and communication. She said I had her schedule packed when she had a full time job (wedding is Friday and rehearsal is during the day due to the venue). When I asked when she would contact the vendors and provide a date she said she’d have to review her contractual commitment, and that she asked my fiancé and I to contact vendors later than promised because she had to throw a big baby shower. Obviously she cannot multitask. Shouldn’t a professional know what they are doing contractually?? Very passive aggressive. She took issue with me asking her to set up chairs when her contract says she will set up, and we also informed her during our meeting if we needed to pay extra we would. Last night she quit thankfully. To further show how unprofessional and unorganized she is, she was about to issue me a refund for $350 when we only paid $175. This should be further proof of my honest review and her disorganization. I won't address this individual. I will only make a remark to the readers of her comments. PLEASE as you peruse Thumbtack and ultimately hire individuals to provide services for you, PLEASE read your contract. Take the time to understand what you have contracted professionals to do for you. My contract clearly states that as a Day-Of-Coordinator I will manage your vendors on the "Day Of" your event and manage the setup and breakdown of your event on the "Day Of" your event. This complainer's contract even stipulated to make sure that she assigned hostesses as helpers so I could assign tasks to. It's all spelled out. So, once again...my kindness, meeting this couple more than 30 days out for Consultation...uncharged, completing over 25 telephone conferences with the bride to assist her with planning. UNCHARGED, and listening as she removed her sister from her own wedding and the pastor because he doesn't want to wear a blue suit? We work extremely hard for our clients over long periods of time, and in THIS CASE...for pennies. Please know that we ARE professionals who are human beings who deserve to be treated like HUMAN BEINGS. Yes, I fired myself from this event and it was one of the best decisions I made in 2019. And the Baby Shower that she mentioned....turned out GREAT!
Finer Soul provided catering and decorations for my Christmas party with 30 guest. They created a menu that was specific to my requests and absolutely delicious. My home was decorated with a classic elegance. Finer Soul planned the entire evening from the invitations to last bite of dessert. They even created a space for my cognac and cigar guest. I must say that this group orcastrated an evening of class and elegance that my family and friends continue to rave about today. Jennifer decorated my wedding. She was very meticulous and made sure that every detail was noticed. I was so amazed when I walked into my reception for the first reveal. HER CENTERPIECES ARE AMAZING! She stuck to my budget and made me so happy. The sweets table that she created was AWESOME! I was so proud that it was mine! She truly made my day one for the history books! What a wonderful experience with Jennifer from Finer Soul. I was able to plan my event with her and she handled everything else. From the perfect floral center pieces to the delightful canapes that were served on silvery white platters our "White" party was a big hit. Jennifer used all white table linens, platters, and even provided a chocolate waterfall that was the perfect impact statement for our charity event. Thank you for such a lovely evening.May 1, 2018

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I meet with the client after speaking on the phone initially. During our phone conversation, the client has expressed a theme or lack thereof. The first meeting, face-to-face is to get a feel for the client's personality. We move forward if the client feels that Finer Soul is the perfect fit for them and their upcoming event. We also schedule meetings via Zoom and Skype.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have not been formally trained in event planning OR culinary arts. I "listen" to what my customers want...and I make it happen. I do a lot of practicing on my craft in my spare time.
