Rebecca was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful every step of the way.Mar 22, 2018Verified
Rebecca of Brockley Designs, was first to respond to my Thumbtack request for a cover redesign of my latest book, A Path Through Ohio. She quickly understood my layout concerns for Createspace formatting and provided a number of suggestions to improve the cover presentation. Rebecca was timely with her solutions and provides years of experience with her service. I recommend Rebecca for all those looking for interior and exterior design work. still helping me but she is great so far. very nice, helpful and fair person!Mar 5, 2018Verified
Rebecca with Brockley Designs is extremely talented. The interior design of my children's book ("The Adventures of Henry the City Cat" "Freedom") is professionally formatted. Rebecca listened to my ideas, suggested changes that were spot on, and produced a product that is so much more than I expected. I highly recommend Brockley Designs for your next project, I know that I will rehire Rebecca.Dec 19, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Let's start with about an hour 'get-to-know each other' chat. When you hire me there is no charge for this first hour. My standard charge is $45 per hour. The average cover should take no longer than 2-3 hours and an interior of 200+/- pages no more than 3 hours. For very large or complicated books (textbook for instance) I am happy to negotiate on hours/price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Work with a new author usually starts with an hour long meeting to discuss the type of book they have written and moves on to finer details regarding the size, length, whether it is for friends and family only or a wider, more public audience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? While born in the US I lived for many years in England studying Art History through Cambridge University and visiting galleries and museums all over Europe and Australia. My love of Fine Art and literature continues to influence my work.
