Introduction: My students learn to read music, play by ear, and develop the motor skills necessary to play an instrument comfortably and well. As a teacher, I motivate my students by teaching them any kind of music they want to learn, and the way I teach singing and playing technique is informed by 3 years of study of biomechanics.

My son has been taking guitar from Daniel for three years and is happy to attend each lesson. He likes that Daniel allows him to choose his music and when he is out of ideas Daniel steps in with something great. We like that Daniel is flexible, professional and easy to work with. We would recommend Daniel to anyone looking for a music teacher!

Daniel is incredibly patient with our two boys, who were 5 and 11 when they started taking lessons. He calibrates the lessons to their level, interests, and skills. He even finds the music for pop songs they want to learn. During the pandemic, he quickly switched to remote lessons. I really can't recommend him highly enough.

Daniel is a gifted teacher and a talented musician. I started taking guitar from him and now take guitar, keyboards and vocals from him. He tailors his lesson plans directly to my musical experience and interests and is able to adjust my lessons on the fly when needed. My lessons are both entertaining and challenging and I am amazing how quickly I am learning music theory and how to improvise before I even realize that I am doing more than just learning a new song! He is also a very encouraging and supportive teacher. I also think that for the quality of the lesson and the obvious time and effort he puts into personalizing my lesson plan, he is a tremendous value! I plan to continue taking lessons from him for quite some time! FYI: I started with him right before COVID and we were meeting in person which was great, but we are now meeting via Zoom and I find that actually even has some advantages!

Our family highly recommends Daniel as a guitar and piano instructor! Daniel provides weekly guitar and piano lessons for both of my kids, originally in-home but currently over Zoom due to the Coronavirus pandemic. His lessons focus on sight reading, rhythm, music theory, chords and picking technique (on guitar), and sometimes even body mechanics. Daniel makes the lessons fun for the kids and often allows them to pick songs they are interested in by current artists. We appreciate Daniel sharing his vast knowledge and musical talent with our kids. They have learned so much from him! And on top of that, Daniel is reliable, punctual, and a great communicator, which is greatly appreciated by the parents!

Daniel is amazing! Our daughter LOVES taking music lessons with him! She is always super excited after her lesson and can’t wait to start working on what she has learned. He caters each lesson to her individual needs and interests. We would HIGHLY recommend Daniel to anyone looking for an excellent music teacher!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The cost of lessons also include a lot of planning that goes into teaching each student the particular kind of music they want to learn. I do not use the same curriculum for everyone.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I ask my new students what kind of music they would like to play, and then help them develop the music theory, listening, and coordinative skills they need to be able to play it. Students can learn to play by ear or by reading music. I also provide music that I teach to all of my students if they don’t have a specific interest.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a bachelor’s degree in music, with a concentration in music technology, and 4 years of classical training in piano. I have taken lessons in biomechanics for 3 years, which helps me teach the coordinative skills musicians need to be successful.
