I originally hired Mr. Lopez to install a flat screen tv on the wall. We have just moved to a new house and had a number of small jobs to do (fixing two sliding doors, hanging a mirror in the bathrooms, installing new hinges on kitchen cabinets). Since he was already at the house we asked him if he could do them. His work was efficient, and thorough and he finished the jobs quickly with a positive and friendly attitude. I will definitely use his services again and will recommend him to others.
Christian was on time, and completed the installation of two, (Front and Rear of our home), motion detection flood lights as agreed at the quoted price. No hidden fees or extra charges for material. He's Straight forward and extremely professional. I would definitely recommend his services.
Did a great job installing the exterior door
Through Thumbtack, I've worked with Anthony and M.O.C. for a couple of years now. The experience has been great. Anthony is very responsive, professional, cost-competitive and personable. My home projects have ranged from re-framing doors and lock installation, to painting two-story foyers and carpet cleaning. I would highly recommend this service provider for your home improvement and maintenance needs.
Larry did a great job on some door installation projects in our home. We had bifold doors removed and slab doors installed on our laundry room, and a screen door installed on a nursery as the main two projects. Larry was on time, thorough, and very helpful taking his time to explain things and even pick up two doors that wouldn’t fit in our vehicles. We appreciated him very much and will likely use again for home projects as we are not handy people ourselves :)
Robert did an excellent job for us. He built a new A/C condenser deck and created an access door for an indoor furnace.
Old door and screen door removed; new steel door and storm door installed. Great, prompt service. Everything looks and works beautifully. We're very happy!
Nando was on-time, professional and friendly. He completed every task I asked him to in the estimated time and did a great job! He removed and replaced some grout in the kitchen and bathrooms, installed weather stripping on our door and replaced a screen on our patio door. He is a hard-worker who pays close attention to detail, and his fee was very reasonable. I would absolutely hire him again if I ever need a handyman!
We were first introduced to Kendall when our subdivision needed a number of outdoor garage lights fitted. His estimate was far and away the best; he arrived on time and did an excellent job in record time. We have had other electrical work done in our home and again found Kendall to be efficient, knowledgeable and did excellent work. He is very easy to have around - just gets on with the job. When he did some interior painting he did go beyond what we asked him to do and included another door without charging us. He is soon to return to our home to help with several other projects; he makes time as much as possible to fit into our schedule. We would rather wait for him, if possible, than consider someone else. He can do almost anything but is also free to say if he feels something is not "his thing"; for example, wallpapering. He has done some work recently for good friends of ours and they were very pleased and have recommended him to other friends and neighbors. We are happy to recommend Kendall Bernard.
I needed a screen door put up.and extra work...I called thumbtack...thinking I was going to get some one with a hammer and nails. Well I got more,..much more. The owner Alex, did a phenomenal job,and stayed until it was just right..(10:15 pm) he did more than I expected and I want him back to do "more" work.he's a.real professional. (six) stars. lol from Mr. Roberts
Kevin Penney has done several jobs for me in the past few months. It started with drying out a basement after a plumbing leak, and I liked him so much that I hired him to repair my roof, re-do thresholds and seals on several doors, install a chandelier, install a screen door, and we have one more shelving/painting project in my office that I'd like to get done before the end of the year. I'm so glad to have this relationship with Kevin now. He's a great communicator, on time, always respectful of me, my home, my pets and my time, and he cares about the nitty-gritty details! I have referred friends to him and will continue to do so with great confidence!
They were a pleasure to have around working on the project. It was a good size project with roofing, siding, other exterior work and interior work, i.e. painting, ceiling repairs, door installations and etc. They stayed busy until it was time to clean-up and quit for the day. No up-sell and honest. We will definitely hire them again. I Highly recommend.
Richard did a fantastic job! I purchased an antique chest of drawers that needed veneer repair, painting and drawer pulls replaced with knobs. When he delivered it, it didn't even look like the same peice. The chest looks brand new! You cannot tell where the old drawer pulls were or where the veneer needed repair. I will definitely be using Richard again and would highly recommend him!
Exactly what I wanted! Brian installed a back door and built a small screened porch for me on some of the hottest days of summer. Very nice job!
I was fortunate enough to have found Curtis on Thumbtack initially looking for someone to do some handyman work on my 3 bedroom condo to bring it back to rental condition, after the previous tenant basically destroyed the place. After seeing his profile and the wonderful reviews everyone was giving him, as well as the pictures of previous work he had done for other people, I asked him to also take a look at my 1968 split level home we had just purchased, to see if he would be able to do the major renovations to update the place. He was knowledgeable, friendly and understood what my plans entailed. After meeting with several other local contractors and considering several bids, Curtis stood out because he was one of the few contractors that would work directly on the home and not subcontract every part of the job. I work from home, so I wanted a contractor that would work with me and keep me updated on all that was going on. I wanted to be an informed homeowner and wanted to learn more about what it took to actually remodel a home. After meeting with Curtis and seeing that his bid was reasonably priced, we immediately began working on getting a contract together. In the meantime, we were overwhelmed with the amount of work the condo needed, that we hired him to begin work on getting the condo ready for rental before working on our home, which took him a week. The condo looked great and move in ready, all we had to do was give it a good cleaning and we were able to rent the place out quickly. He painted, put bathroom fixtures up, fixed the water damaged ceiling, some trim work, replaced weather stripping in the door, fixed the screen door, closet doors and adjusted the kitchen cabinet doors. He then began the major renovations on our kitchen and all 3 bathrooms that weekend. The renovations consisted of the demo of the kitchen and bathrooms down to the studs in the wall, then bringing down the wall between the kitchen and dining area and putting up headers to open up a larger entryway into the living room (to make the kitchen larger and more open concept) and opening up the bathroom walls and ceiling to make the master bathroom larger and more open. He then replaced and installed insulation in the walls and ceiling, as well as the dry wall, crown molding, trim and painted the walls. He installed our kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as the fixtures. He replaced the old 1968 iron railing and replaced it with the INOX stainless steel railing. He installed three French doors, and made and installed three barn doors. Two of the barn doors were fun and functional chalkboard painted doors for our kitchen/sun room entryway and the other being a beautiful custom made, wood tongue and groove door for our master bathroom. During all the major renovations and updates, he coordinating the plumbing, electrical and flooring. He helped me bring my dream kitchen and bathrooms to reality, while keeping me informed and allowing me to learn the ins and outs of home remodeling. The entire project took 10 weeks and was quite a task. He was able to work with me when things didn't quite work the way we had planned, helped guide the decision making and went above and beyond when it came to safety and sound choices for the building. Overall it was a great experience and not nearly as painful as you would expect major renovations to go. He cleaned up daily and didn't leave tools lying around, which is great since I've got a two year old and an eleven year old. I plan to hire him again for future work, like crown molding and an additional barn door, maybe replacing windows when we are ready to take on that task. You will not be disappointed by hiring Curtis. He is easy to work with and will go above the call of duty.
Jeremy is my all around handyman. He is my "Go to guy" I own rentals, and I simply ask him to go fix or repair or install what needs to be done. I know it will be quality work done on time. No stress what so ever. His prices are below what others charge for similar work. I've hired Jeremy for brick work, crown molding, linoleum and engineered flooring, wall repair and painting, wall and base cabinet installations, replacing exterior screen doors and rotted out window sills. If you want one person you can rely on to cover most all your needs, it's Jeremy.
Replaced screen door and did some carpentry work. Staff who came out were conscientious and did quality work. We had some outstanding issues after initial work and had to contact owner who quickly took care of these for us. Recommend you give them a try.
Kenny and Chris built and installed custom cabinetry in my basement apartment, they were very professional and did an amazing job, in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend them and will continue to use them for future work around my home.
hard working and efficient gentlemen. Reasonably priced. Fixed broken cabinet door, polished hardwood floor, replaced window screens, pressure washed back porch, hung up paintings. Very helpful. Will definitely use again.
We purchased an older house and wanted to make a few changes. After discussing our desires with Mr. Marius Tudor, we were able to come up with a plan to renovate the kitchen with ten can lights and a new main light which now dims and sets any mood we desire. But not stopping there, we also converted a bed room into a walk-in closet and great storage space for linens and such by dividing the room in half turning the back portion into a walk-in closet adjourning the master. The front half was fitted with two shelving compartments with four 6'X 2.5' shelves in each compartment and hidden by four wide sliding doors. Everyone who sees them comment that they wish they could have a storage space that convenient and beautiful. We also had Marius install hardwood floors in the master bedroom and the hallways. The beauty of his work makes you want to redo the whole house! He also mounted a 70" flat screened TV on the wall and in so doing he built an "in wall canal" for all the wires so none are visible (nice touch) and installed sconces on the walls with dimmers turning our Family Room into a Home Theater . We will be calling on him again . He is truly gifted at what he does and kept the areas clean and functional for us while he and his crew worked - Fast and efficient. He truly earned this rating. Thank you Mr. M.
I hired Fix It Fast,LLC (FIF) on a door installation. I worked directly with one of the owners, Mr. Chris. Smith. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE! Things Gone Right: > Very Knowledgeable and Professional > Truly Fast Service > High Quality Repair > Very Responsive/Great Communication > Affordable/Budget Friendly > Honest > Integrity Above and Beyond: >Superior Customer Service --willing to work last minute near a holiday --handled all aspects of the repair including acquiring material (Note: other contractors required I get everything) --willingness/ability to listen to the customer needs/wants and provide cost-effective solutions --offered great suggestions/tips to ensure the best repair possible -- passion to achieve highest quality work possible and total customer satisfaction --willingness to correct any errors/address any issues >Ease to work with and good interpersonal skills >Willing to educate the client on all available options and allow the client to make the decision >Helped to return material to store that had nothing to do with his repair Suggested Areas of Improvement: > Prospect work in advance to ensure even smoother process >More payment methods and without the additional fees Summary: Overall GREAT EXPERIENCE with Mr. Chris Smith/FIF. He's especially suited for working with female homeowners who are always concerned with feeling safe around contractors and then being ripped off. Definitely was NOT my concern or experience with Mr. Smith. He was VERY RESPECTFUL and genuinely concerned about my safety. He ensured the door repair/install provided me with the maximum security possible. He also declined a prospective job as he couldn't provide the most cost-effective repair and then provided suggestions on who I should contact to ensure that could occur. How many contractors do you know will do that? Great Job Mr. Chris Smith and another high-quality experience using a Thumbtack "Pro". I will indeed use both services again and have already started referring others. Thanks much and Much Success! MRW
