I have known Cameron Herman, professionally and personally, for six years. We became colleagues and friends in 2010 while graduate students at the University of Louisville. She became and Editor. She edited my book. This was the very first writing that I had ever done for publishing. Without her critique and her sitting with me and explaining the importance of my being myself and making sure that I wrote from the point of what I declared my book would be. She shared with me how important of writing down that people would know you from your writing. She met with me in my office. Never was Mrs. Mansfield in a hurry How Long Did It Take: It took 2 weeks and 3 days. What impressed me most of all was Mrs. Mansfield’s’ ability to pull out of me that what would had been necessary to enhance my book. Secondly a willing to listen to me read my book. My book and me as a new writer was very important to her. It was not just a job but care and concern. Some of the time spent in my office, especially the length of time just speaking to me about becoming a writer. Many times was over and beyond what I believe many other persons would have done.
