I have been lucky enough to have Mr. Goodman's help throughout the majority of my academic life. While participating in homeschooling through the end of elementary school and beginning of middle school, he was my instructor in mathematics each year. Additionally, Mr. Goodman was extremely helpful as a supplemental tutor when I needed help with my public high school math courses. I have received tremendous aid most recently in my college courses (both with my college course material, and in helping me to stay fresh with basic skills). Overall, I would highly recommend Mr. Goodman's tutoring services for any stage of learning. He has been extremely helpful and dedicated, both locally and long distance.
The sessions are going well. Ila and I have marveled at our good fortune in having such an excellent tutor. I tutor for a living, so I know of what I speak. Ila says she understands what she's being taught and thinks she has a chance at remembering it. We can't thank you and your company enough for matching us up with such an exceptional teacher. I guess the proof is in the pudding so we shall see, but so far so good. One of the reasons that this is going so well is because these are one-on-one lessons. It coasts more but it's worth it. I am learning a lot in my lessons with Jocelyn. I highly recommend her. She listens to my concerns, and finds ways to help me understand the material. I am happy I chosed this company.
Andrea tutored me my during my senior year of high school to help me prepare for my AP Calc exam and I could not have done it without her help. She was very clear and up front about what I needed to know and never forgot to explain the reasoning behind each calculation. I currently attend an Ivy League school and still think back to what Andrea taught me when my TA's are not getting the job done.
We have been using Darryl Marquette with Success Academics for all three children, ages middle through high school. Darryl has a deep commitment to each of our children to succeed, plus he is just over the top crazy about math. Darryl has become an extended member of our family. He is very encouraging and the children don't dread math anymore. We would highly recommend Darryl and his team at Success Academics.
Ms. Arp tutors my 9-year-old fourth grader twice per week with a focus on reading and writing. Prior to beginning her sessions, Ms. Arp met with me to gauge my child's needs. She was very thorough in her assessment of my wants and obviously very knowledgeable about best practices in teaching and remediation. I felt very comfortable being honest about my child's weaknesses and my fears for his future. Ms. Arp put me at ease, though, when she explained to me her plan for bringing my child up to grade level in reading. Ms. Arp spent the first sessions diagnosing my child's reading abilities. From there, she paid close attention to what he was doing in his classroom lessons, and her tutoring reflected the same subject matter as his teacher's lessons. If his class was working on identifying the main idea, that's what my child would work on with Ms. Arp during tutoring. Whenever I had a new idea for an area of focus, Ms. Arp always listened and changed her lessons to address those concerns. I feel like Ms. Arp is part of the larger team of folks who care about my child's education. My child has gained confidence and tangible skills thanks to Ms. Arp. I am grateful that we found a tutor who offered a convenient schedule and a reasonable rate. Giving your child the best opportunities in life should not exist solely for the wealthy. Ms. Arp allows my family to afford the extra academic attention while still having enough left over to keep my child in other extra-curricular activities. We could not have asked for a better tutor. Thanks, Ms. Arp!
We found Robert in the middle of the school year in 2014. Our 8 year old son was having a very challenging time with math, and his father and I were not able to assist him without us all ending up beyond frustrated. Robert is soft spoken, kind, patient, encouraging an effective! Our sons grades have improved, and he comes home from school telling us that math is easier for him than it used to be! We would highly recommend Robert to any parent considering a math tutor for their student.
Because of Strive Academics my daughter is more confident in her ability to do math which she hasn't had in years. Before Strive Academics, she failed math classes in school, but is now on the A/B Honor Roll!!! I couldn't be more proud of her!! Hiring Strive Academics was the best decision I made and I highly recommend their math services.
Martha Rummel started working weekly with our son Jonathan during the second semester of high school chemistry and continued through the end of the school year. Martha came to our home for the tutoring sessions, which helped make a comfortable learning environment for our son. Comments from Jonathan: Martha is very personable and very easy to relate to. She takes time to make certain that you understand the material she is helping you with. She is passionate about what she teaches! I listened in on the tutoring sessions and noted how well Jonathan was able to understand the subject material and solve problems. Ultimately, his grades reflected the work, with an A for a final semester grade. I would highly recommend Martha she is punctual, has terrific knowledge of Chemistry and was able to communicate with Jonathan about the subject such that he excelled in his class work.
I have hired several tutors over the years, and know that not all are created equal. Daniel Vaccaro is among one of the best in the business. He is dependable, goes above and beyond, and is committed to helping kids succeed at math. He uses humor, and a plethora of tools, to simplify math and keep it interesting. His multi sensory approach to teaching has been the key to my daughter's success in high school math. She and I cannot recommend him enough!
I love the online version of class and the face to face lessons teaches me a lot about the parts of speech.
Melanie helped our school with several major writing projects in our pursuit of national education awards. One particular project had many sections written by at least a half dozen people. Melanie re-arranged and re-wrote them so the final product had a singular voice. With that cohesion, and her added spark to some of the lackluster parts, the completed project was a great success. Our school was honored with the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence for Georgia in Washington D.C. Melanie made it happen!
I enjoyed the ACT tutoring course because I was given the same about of effort from my tutor, Mrs. Hypolite that I put into the lessons. She helped me increase my composite score 4 points. We set a goal, and focuced on each subject and where I needed to improve it. Our lessons were never rushed and I met each of my sub score goals successfully.
Our 12-year-old daughter was having a very hard time with math after being moved from one math class to another, more advanced class. She had failed some tests and was feeling pretty hopeless about the subject. We brought her to Ilah for tutoring and after just a couple sessions she was understanding things much better and feeling more confident. And we're happy to say she got an A on her recent mid-term! Not only does Ilah tutor to help kids understand what they're learning in school, but she teaches them how to think about numbers so that new concepts are easier to grasp. I highly recommend her.
Kellie is extraordinarily knowledgeable and well read on a number of subjects. She is a dedicated, career educator and professional whose mission is to make every student successful.
Tutoring over Skype has been an excellent solution for my middle-school son. Ladder Learning Services is efficient and knowledgeable - but they are also warm and caring, adding up to a great learning experience for my son. (services used are Orton-Gillingham lessons and Wilson Grammar for learning differences and dyslexia.)
My son is in high school and he said Khayree is an excellent tutor. I am pleased with his Khayree's feedback and would definitely recommend him to others.
Mrs. Treu was both of my sons' Spanish teacher, teaching them Spanish I, II, and III. She is both competent and professional and also invests personally in the lives of her students. She works well with parents and communicates in an effective manner. I was very pleased in the quality of education my boys received.
I started piano lessons with Dr. John Stonko of American Piano Academy a year and a half ago after almost thirty years since my last lesson. It has been such a rewarding return! From the onset, Dr. Stonko has been astute in assessing my abilities and engaged in what I would like to accomplish musically. He has therefore developed a plan personal to me. I think this focus on individual learning distinguishes APA from other piano instruction. In fact, I was wary of the absence of a personal approach when I began my search for a teacher. I think it's fairly common for many piano teachers to assign an all-in-one book of theory, exercises and excerpts of favorite melodies. Consequently, students learn the piano in a very limited manner. Fortunately, this is not the case with Dr. Stonko. Whether you are a beginner or wish to resume piano studies, you will find that the lessons with APA are dynamic and worthwhile. You will advance in technique and repertoire. By the way, my husband who has played piano all his life and participates in piano competitions, has also studied with Dr. Stonko and finds his teaching incredibly smart. On a last note, I would simply add that these are great lessons and every week I am eager to learn more.
We had a wonderful experience with Beth Reed. She came to us and was on-time, professional and was able to keep my daughter on task (not always easy). My daughter had failed the state-mandated math portion of the high school graduation test 3 times. After a few sessions with Mrs. Reed, she passed it on her fourth try.
