We are very happy with mr James. He is great with our kids. The kids actually look forward to their lessons especially my 4year old daughter.
Mr Washington is a great teacher. We hired him to provide drum lessons for a young man at our church. We have seen awesome growth in a fairly short period of time. He is very skilled, knowledgeable and patient with his students. If you have a child that desires to play drums or if you desire to play drums, you can find no greater teacher.
We were fortunate to find Abdala as an instructor for our son who showed an aptitude for drumming very early. Abdala is not only a highly skilled drummer, he is a kind, patient, and organized natural teacher who set high standards for his students and helps them achieve them. He understands what motivates students and we all loved and appreciated his strategy and techniques. He provided much positive feedback and earnest advice on how to improve skills. He introduced our son to genres of music, world music, and drumming styles that he has grown to love. His favorite moments in his lessons were, after learning a challenging new skill, Abdala would reward him with a fun break in which they put on their headphones and listened to a piece of music and drum together side-by-side. Our son learned a lot from those impromptu moments. Abdala is a first rate teacher and we are grateful for the kind and thoughtful instruction he gave our son.
As a beginner, I had no idea how to start--Justin has a lesson plan with exercises that you can immediately tackle to build rhythm and flow on your kit. He listens intensely as you play, and can offer quick feedback and advice. He can demonstrate the 'next step' in your progress while you take notes--invaluable!
Our son took drum lessons from Danny for several years while he was in Jr and Sr High School. As parents we thoroughly enjoyed watching our son learn from Danny, a very talented and personable mentor. Michael is now a drummer in a local trio.
Derek is a professional who conducts lessons in a logical and unique way, but it is very rewarding and builds morale quickly. You will feel accomplished early on, which leads to more desire for learning more. Derek is patient, supportive, encouraging, challenging, fun, energetic, and has real talent! The group of students at The Guitar Room are also supportive, helpful, and encouraging, making the experience uplifting. I have taken lessons from others before, but Derek has me learning and playing more music I like than any other instructor to date.
Jennifer is an absolute delight as a teacher. She came into our home with a positive and professional attitude. She has an optimistic approach to teaching and her love for music simply radiates. My daughter is 7 and did not want to take piano but rather drums. I convinced her to take piano and now she loves it. I think this is due to Jennifer's teaching style. Jennifer has made the entire experience fun and personal for Gabby. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found her!
Brian did a fantastic job teaching drum with my son. All I heard from my son's comments about Brian was that instructor Brian was really inspiring! My son enjoys music a lot more because of Brian! Thank you!!
Since my son loves playing the drums I thought it would be a good idea to give him private lessons. After searching for some time my husband and I came across Lee Percussive Arts and decided to give them a try. Were so glad we did! Mr. Pickard is a great instructor who really knows his stuff. Thanks to him, my son is a better player and well on his way to being one of the best around.
Professional attitude, communicates exercises well. Great personality. Highly recommended.
Dave is very patient with both myself and my son as we are not the best students! I love the fact that he makes sure that we know the little technical aspects of drumming such as hand/ arm position, counting, reading notes, ect. He also constructs his lessons to fit the needs and talent level of the student. Lot's of fun, I wish that I had more time for more lessons to progress even faster.
With more than 100,000 lessons taught the award winning Key Music Center offers experience, fun, and results. We are the only teaching studio in Atlanta to offer a free music assessment for children under 15 years old. This allows us to put the student on the best path based on their test results and saves parents money and increases the the students chances of success. "There is a difference between a great musician and a great teacher," explains the studio's music director Bill Realbuto, "and we only hire instructors that are both."
My love for drumming I want to share with the world. Teaching those how to enjoy and perfect the art of percussions is my greatest joy. Aside from instruction I also offer performance services for bands (corporate/party), and religious organizations.
I provide drum percussion lessons for all levels and all ages, teaching concert, drum set, and Latin. I have a master's in music. My lesson studio is in Norcross.
To start, I've been actively playing drums in bands for over a decade. I love working with new drummers. When I started playing drums, I took drum lessons myself for years making sure to learn proper technique. Even though many people can play drums, teaching drum lessons takes someone that cares about the growth of their students. My goal is to teach you and get you excited about playing, learn the technical side of drumming, and also how to let lose and really 'own' it.
I have a passion for drumming & I enjoy teaching students who feel the same.
I am a professional touring drummer in Atlanta, GA available for drum lessons. I teach ages 8 years old and up. All skill sets are welcome. Make rhythm a part of your life.
I am a professional musician, and I play drums for a national recording artist and also teach/instruct lessons.
I am a recent Graduate from the Atlanta institute of music. I offer lessons for all levels of students. Currently an Assistant band director at St. Catherine's and the percussion instructor there so I can also offer help with concert percussion.
With over 20 years of performance and studio experience and 12 years of teaching experience, Chad Jackson can teach beginner to advanced students 5 years and older. Our topics of study include drum set -- grooves, fills, song studies, and how to play in a band; concert band -- mallet studies, reading, dynamics, and audition prep; and marching band -- technique, rudimental studies, control and speed, and HS drumline prep. Chad has taught over 60 students in the East Cobb/Marietta areas, with 14 of his current and former students in the acclaimed Lassiter and Sprayberry bands. With each student, Chad tries to help him or her realize their latent potential to create and enjoy making music. In the process, Chad shows each student how to experience the benefits of music which include improved awareness and concentration, better performance in school, and improved self-worth, esteem, and confidence. And we have a lot of fun along the way!
