*** Since Jon and his crew installed my new fence last December and I have been so pleased with it, I decided to have them out a second time to refinish my deck. Not only did he start the work intermediately he also took on a few additional requests during the remodel. They added an attractive siding to the elevated portion of my deck and equipped it with an easy access door for my crawl space. They also improved my stairs which were uneven and too steep. I am extremely happy with my decision and would trust them for any future work I may find I need. *** Jon and his team were a amazing. He worked with me to get the best fence possible and stay within my budget. My back yard looks better than I ever thought it could.Jun 28, 2018Verified
Jon has an excellent work ethic, he's professional and takes pride in his work. He was an excellent listener, communicated with us while he was building the fence, explaining things and answering questions, and in the end, built us a beautiful high quality fence. He took a complicated project due to the layout and obstacles in our yard and he "nailed it". We highly recommend him.Sep 26, 2017VerifiedJon P.'s reply
Kelly, You guys were awesome to work for. I like challenges and your custom fence was a lot of fun to build.
Jon and his crew installed a shadow box fence about 267 sq ft. They did an excellent job and my wife was happy with the fence. Jon always kept me informed of the work progress and the price was fair.Mar 9, 2017Verified
I highly recommend Jon, he built us an 8 ft. fence that turned out beautiful and sturdy. He went the extra mile to ensure that was exactly what I wanted and even threw in a few extras. Jon and his assistant were direct, honest and easy to talk to & did exactly what they said they were going to do on time & professionally. And then some. Jon and David are two of the nicest guys I've met in decades and I consider them my friends. I will definitely hire them again for future work. If you want it done right these are the guys you want to build your fence. ~JerryFeb 2, 2017Verified
I had a partial fence installed and two large gates around my backyard. This agency was able to accommodate my request in a short time and completed the work in the time forecasted with efficiency and precision. Jon Pike came to measure my yard and brought a folder with pictures of previous work, AND had evidence of his license and insurance. Mr. Pike was knowledgeable about his craft and did an excellent job explaining the process to me as a layman. Mr. Pike and his associates were professional and friendly, which was highly appreciated.Nov 11, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? No, my pricing is straight forward. For fences, I can usually give a per foot range of pricing. For decks, a sq. ft. pricing is used...But some customers don't know, that the price goes down as the deck gets bigger since much of the cost goes into the foundation. It is also important for customers to do their homework. Many times I find that customers have an unrealistic idea of what a deck costs. For ballpark purposes, a brand new ground level deck will cost between $24-30 per sq. ft. So, a 10'x10' deck will cost between $2400 - $3000.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1. Personal meeting to evaluate the project and develop a quote. 2. Materials / scheduling deposit gets customer "locked" into calendar. 3. Mark all corners and gate placement with orange marking paint for customer approval. 4. Set posts in concrete (allow 24hrs). 5. Build frames using 3" lifetime screws. 6. Install pickets using 3" x .5" galvanized staples for extra strength. 7. Custom construct gates and install with all hardware. 8. New Backyard!!!!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have 4 college degrees to include Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, and Education. I was a licensed contractor in 1988 when I built my first house which was also my first home. Yes, I work with general contractors who keep me up to date with the latest tools, techniques and products. I also network with other fence builders, deck contractors and builders to be able to learn new skills and refer customers to other contractors if needed.
