I purchased furniture for my bedroom, but I never got around to decorating the room. When I met Lisa, I was very excited to work with her. Lisa stopped by my home, reviewed the room and provided some extremely useful suggestions, based on my likes and dislikes. She also took photos and measurements. It was a great consultation and I look forward to working with Lisa to finish the room.

About this pro

As an Interior Decorating/Design service provider, it is somewhat the norm to charge a consultation fee. We view this as charging the client to review us, or decide if we're the team that's right for their project. This seems ridiculous and a little backward to us. We don't charge consultation fees. We consider it a privilege that we've been invited to your home or space to learn about your needs and goals. We listen, take notes, ask questions, and then prepare and deliver back an overview of your project scope, and information on what we estimate the project budget to be, and this demonstrates we've listened to your needs and desires. If our understanding of your needs and our project estimate meets your expectations and budget, only then do we collect a deposit to begin. First steps will include a deeper "Project Discovery" phase, that is approved before any work begins. Our team is built on a creative and collaborative spirit, with each other and the client. This type of work-flow climate and culture, in our workrooms and office, and on-site with our projects brings a very seamless flow to our project execution, and a level of comfort and confidence to our clients.

    Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
An outline of our typical pricing structure, for a variety of services, is posted on our website.
    • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
      Yes
    • How did you get started doing this type of work?
Founder and team leader, Lisa Graham has over 20 years experience in the Creative Services and Design Industry, focused mostly in Advertising and Marketing. But, with a love of all things decor, a passion for textiles and furnishings, and a strong Customer Service and Account Services background it was a natural and seamless transfer of skill sets and experience to start her own Interior Decorating business. The light bulb finally went off when once, while enjoying one of her favorite hobbies - furniture "window shopping" - she was "mistaken" for a sales associate and decorator by a customer in the store. Noticing that they were overwhelmed by the choices before them, she began showing them options and mixes that they could consider. When they asked about delivery schedules, she said, "oh, I don't work here... just saw you needed help". They were disappointed when they had to begin working with the actual store associate. Well, phone numbers were exchanged, and the rest is history!
