When I came to Dave Lockwood for guitar lessons, I was struggling in kind of a self-taught rut. I could play chords for a lot of songs, but I didn't know the theory or anything you would call "advanced". Dave's methods show you how to understand the fretboard and why certain notes and chords go together. He is really helping me become a complete player. Mostly though, Dave is a very patient teacher. He doesn't mind going over the same material with you until you understand it and he'll take different approaches until you get it. I really appreciate this about his teaching methods.
I have really enjoyed taking lessons at Cordell Music so far. He has a good syllabus and the lessons build on one another in an understandable way.
Excellent first lesson. As an adult learning guitar, Eric's was a more holistic approach that got right into a meaningful lesson activity directly applied to the genre of music of interest to me.
I took my first guitar lessons ever with Ryan, and he was an awesome teacher. He was patient with me and taught me all the basics with lots of helpful tips and advice. Ryan is a friendly teacher and willing to work with you on whatever you want to improve or learn about guitar!
Chris is a one of a kind guitar instructor. He is personable and dedicated to teaching music. I have learned more from him in a short amount of time than I have from previous instructors. He understands that each individual learns differently and he creates a program for every student. Working/Playing music with him has given me more motivation to play more at home (I work 50+ hours a week) than any other instructor has ever given me. I would highly recommend Mr.Silver and I am looking forward to continuing my lessons with him.
I have taken guitar lessons before, but I wasn't learning or moving forward at the pace I wanted. He played guitar the whole time and seemed detached, annoyed and uninterested in helping me. He really didn't seem passionate about his lessons/teaching methods and what I learned over time. So I finally decided to try again and I took guitar lessons from Cam about a year ago and it's been the most rewarding experience.
I've been taking guitar lessons from Jim Coley for a couple of years now. I was self taught on "cowboy chords" and decided in my mid 40's I wanted to learn different styles, be able to read tabs and learn more about the structure of sheet music. Jim's teaching style has made this challenge a fun and enjoyable learning experience. The selection of music and lessons he works with me on has tremendous range and style from Classic Rock, Latin, Funk, Jazz, Blues and more. I would highly recommend some sessions with Jim. It has been and continues to be a great experience.
When working with kids I've realized that you have to make things exciting, interesting and challenging. Aaron has been working with our son on the electric guitar and piano for the last 6 months. He goes above and beyond to make each lesson fun while setting learning goals for our son. We love the fact that he listens to his needs and is helping him to learn songs that he likes. Our son loves working with Aaron and is excited to see him each week!
Trey has been patient and persistent, but never pushy, in his follow-ups to have my first guitar lesson. It is something I have truly appreciated. I'm really thankful to start playing guitar after a 25-year hiatus. I'm grateful to have such a talented musician and guitarist in my corner to help me become better.
I have had experience with other guitar teachers before, so I say this without hesitation that he is the best guitar teacher (and guitarist) out there.
I offer only the basics. If a teacher gives more than that, the students inherit the musical style of the teacher and never develop their own style.
I have been playing guitar for nearly 7 years now, and I am skilled in both electric and acoustic as well as many different styles of music.

There is a difference between a great musician and a great teacher, explains the studios music director Bill Realbuto, and we only hire instructors that are both. We offer a unique blend of traditional teaching methods with modern techniques. Our curriculum is designed to be fun and inspiring. With a menu of classes, recitals, and workshops to chose from, students can have a complete musical experience.
I am not just trying to get a paycheck. I have a genuine interest in every student I have ever taught. I want them to progress and to grow an appreciation for the instrument. I look at each student's progress as a reflection of my ability as a teacher.
I am an experienced guitarist wanting to help others learn the joy of playing music and to find their "voice."
I am going to give guitar lessons for beginners or intermediate guitar players. I have been playing the guitar for eight years and specialize in acoustic guitar. I love bluegrass and rock music and pretty much everything else. I would love to be able to spread my love for guitar with other people.
