I am very impressed with Gabrini's work and workmanship. He was very punctual and completed the work to my satisfaction (got more than what I had expected) and within the time he had told me. He worked very patiently as I had granite backsplash to be removed prior to tile backsplash installation and he did a good job with minimum damage to my wall. There was minimum to absolutely no wastage of tile, which was really good. I had a tile installer few years back and he had a bag full of waste from tile cutting that was required for those weird corner tiles. He even cleaned up all the mess after the work was completed. All in all - a job well done!!! His price quote was very affordable and does nit charge exuberantly like many others. My recommendation goes out 100% for Gabrini.

We have used Flooring Zone during our total home remodel over the past year. They have installed everything from travertine, porcelain, laminate and hardwood to custom glass tile in our showers and kitchen. During our renovation we had two high profile Contractors managing separate projects which included some of the tile work. Flooring Zone was called in on both projects to take over the tile work due to their level of skill and expertise. Their staff is dedicated, hard-working, professional and reliable. After comparing their pricing with competitor products and services, we found that Flooring Zone was the most fair and transparent. They arrived on time and stay with our projects through successful completion. Miles would even drop by my office to deliver samples for us to consider. Having recently hired so many Contractors, Flooring Zone was a refreshing experience. We are bringing them back in shortly to finish the last rooms of our renovation. When it comes to Miles and the Flooring Zone, we just keep calling them back because I know we will get a great outcome. I highly recommend calling Flooring Zone first or at least include them before making a flooring or tiling decision. You can reach Miles DuChanois, Installation Manager/Sales, Flooring Zone at C:678-768-6090, O:855-344-ZONE.

Paulo did a glass tile backsplash installation for me in my kitchen. He was a very pleasant person to work with. He was very attentive to me as a customer from the first phone call, to follow up calls, through the completion of the job. Paulo has a great work ethic and worked long hours as needed to complete the job by our deadline. He communicated each step that needed my attention and explained as much as I needed to know when I asked questions. His attention to detail is great and he does high quality work. I am a perfectionist and I was very pleased with the job. He also asked me when he finished, if I was happy with the work and if there were any adjustments or repairs that needed to be made. I liked his thoroughness. I would definitely recommend Paulo Santos for tile work to anyone.

We contacted Kendall when we decided that we wanted to totally update our fireplace. We had a boring 1990s black granite fireplace. To be honest, we didn't have an exact plan going in but I knew the aesthetic that I liked. Kendall was able to take what I explained and envisioned and put it into an impeccable fireplace design. His patience (with my sometimes type a personality) was beyond professional and I trusted his opinion and input every step of the way. He really worked with us and helped us focus on key aspects throughout the design process. He has a wonderful eye for design and was very reasonable in his pricing. He even helped mount the tv and the electrical work to hide the wires.

Fireplace Mantel Replacement & Install deck tile: Remove old mantel, fireplace surround and hearth. Replace with one solid area of wall tile and hardwood “hearth”. Install tile on deck. Thomas did an excellent job from start to finish. His estimate was honest; he explained the process and made recommendations for changes to our design ideas. He began and finished the project in a timely manner. He communicated with us on the progress and various issues that came along the way. His workmanship was excellent. We’ve received many compliments and others always want to know who did our project. The final project turned out to be exactly what we wanted and beyond. We are 100% satisfied and will hire TF&B again. We highly recommend Thomas' Flooring and Bath.

I hired Eduin and company initially for framing of my basement which was previously a blank slate. He came to the house for the estimate on-time and afterwards always showed up at the agreed upon time. He was very easy to work with and eventually hired him for drywall, tile, trim, granite, door installation and the finishing work. In any project this size, change will always come up. Eduin was flexible and offered helpful ideas on how to achieve the look and feel I was going for. All work was completed professionally and as we discussed prior. I would definitely hire him again.

These guys were amazing. We contacted them on Saturday to remove our existing backsplash and install a marble backsplash and they were in our house on Monday. The finished product was stunning and made our kitchen look so much brighter and elegant. Their price is great for quality of work. Could not be happier.

It was a pleasure working with Dwayn. My condo downtown was damaged due to flooding. Dwayn removed and replaced floor tile and drywall as well as scraped and repainted concrete floors. The quality was as Dwayn promised and stuck to the schedule giving the circumstances we encountered. Dwayn was also easy to get in contact with and very responsive.

I hired Andrew to install marble tile on my fireplace and the hearth. He did a fabulous job. I originally tried to hire another tile guy based on a friends recommendation, but he said what I wanted could not be done. Luckily, I discovered thumbtack and Andrew was able to give me exactly what I wanted. I'm extremely happy with this whole process!

I hired Alex after renters had left my home with needed repairs and maintenance. He was highly recommended by a friend that has used Alex's services for many years. Alex performed a wide variety of jobs, which made getting my home ready for sale much easier. The list of projects included installing a new stove (granite counter top had to be cut), new flooring and baseboards in my laundry room, plumbing repairs, sheetrock repairs and interior painting, new handrails and pressure washing/ staining the decks, painting the garage floor, and misc. other things. Alex was very professional the entire time. He showed up on time and completed the projects by the date he promised, in spite of some snags along the way. And he actually answers his phone! I would highly recommend Alex. He is a credit to his profession!

We got the JLewis Construction team to come and give us a estimate on doing the Kitchen Remodel for a High End Kitchen in the Morning side area. We are a handyman team and needed to team with a good contractor. Jonathan was just what we needed to get this job going, we did all the intial demo and we needed them to get the final touches done. The tile work, the cabinet install and the granite was done by them. This was a long standing customer of ours and we didn't want to loose our relationship with her. Thank you JLewis Construction, we were more than happy to write this review.

And they said it couldn't be done ! Bob Dauphin is a magician - besides being a great plumber and master tile craftsman that is ! My old, small Decatur ranch has been on the market over a year due in part to the fact that I only have 1.5 baths. I wanted to convert the half bath to a full, but with only a 4' x 6' space to work with, everyone said it was impossible. Everyone that is but Bob. Ripping everything down to the studs, Bob gave me a full custom marble shower, new 1.6 gallon flush toliet, and 25" vanity with a travertine floor and glass inlays !! He even custom crafted a marble alcove with round corners because he thought the square corners were too harsh. Bob persoanlly took care of the plumbing/tile work and coordinated with the other subs for the electric/drywall/painting/carpentry work so everything came together on time and on budget. Speaking of budget - when he encountered an unforeseable plumbing problem that caused him an extra day's work and material, he didn't go up on his quote one penny. Now how many contractor would do that ? He's honest, reliable, and on time - in fact my only complaint about Bob is my having to get up every morning at 7:00 to let him in to work *smile*. Hire Bob Dauphin to do your tile job, you will be happy you did. I know I am. Jeff Sutton

Kelly and Rob did a fine job renovating a small bathroom for me recently. They replaced the floor tile, the toilet, fixtures in the tub, and most importantly, turned the his-and-hers sink (which was just too much for a secondary bathroom) into a sink for one with marble countertops and a really nice custom cabinet with tower. Most of the work was done in a timely fashion, although we had to wait quite a while for the cabinets, as they were crafted by an outside carpenter. Also, the same carpenter put the wrong handles on the cabinets and getting him to come back to replace them (with Kelly being the middle-man) took too long. Being a two-man operation (with the occasional specialty worker brought in as needed) had its pros and cons, in my opinion. It was good because I knew exactly who was coming to do the work and didn’t have a revolving door of random workers in my house every day. This allowed me to feel comfortable enough to give them a house key so they could come in and finish tasks while I was out. The downside, however, is that because it’s only the two of them, getting in touch can be a little challenging, especially if they’re working simultaneously on another job. So communication could definitely be improved, but as far as the work goes, I’m pleased with the results.

Wonderful job! We hired Anthony and Company to renovate our kitchen and Master Bedroom. They expanded our master bedroom and replaced our old counters with new granite counters. They also did tile work and installed new cabinets. Very pleased with the work they did! They gave us a fair bid and finished the work in a decent amount of time. My wife and I were very pleased and have since then hired them to do other renovations on other investment properties.

How much does it cost to tile a shower?

The cost of tiling a shower depends on two main factors: the size of the shower and the quality of the tiles. In general, most professional tilers charge an average of $25 per square foot of tiled area and the national average cost for a tile installation project is $490-$750. The tiles themselves are the greatest variable; the cost depends on their size, shape, pattern and manufacturer. For example, tile purchased at a volume discount from a big-box store cost far less than tiles made in small batches by an artisan ceramics shop. Prices can range from as little as $1 to $50 or more per square foot of tile. Other factors that will drive up the total tile installation cost are grout and mortar, speciality tiles like bullnose caps or soap holders, and surface prep materials, especially if drywall needs to be replaced before the tile can be installed. Many tile installers will also remove and haul away any old materials from an existing shower installation.

How much does it cost to install a ceramic tile floor?

Tile installation costs for ceramic floors depend on the type of tile you select. You can purchase tile that sells for under $2 per square foot or tile that costs $50 per square foot — or more for artisanal and hand-painted tiles. The cost of labor to install a tile floor will also depend on the tile you select. It is far less labor-intensive to install a white 12-inch by 12-inch square tile than a 2-inch by 2-inch hexagonal tile with a distinct pattern. That extra time and energy equates to a higher per-square-foot installation cost. For example, a flooring pro may charge approximately $3.50 per square foot for labor to install wood-look tile in an area ranging between 6 feet by 24 feet and 8 feet by 48 feet. That same pro may charge $6 or more per square foot for a more intricate pattern, or a smaller space. Some installers may charge a minimum day rate for ceramic tile floor installation, such as $340 minimum per day, to cover business expenses and employee wages. If you’re looking to reduce costs, removing your existing flooring and handling any repairs needed can help eliminate prep work costs. Prep work may be charged per hour and could cost anywhere from $25 to $80 per hour or more, depending on the region and the type of repair work necessary.

How much does it cost to tile a bathroom?

Tile installation costs are a key part of your bathroom remodel costs. The tile you select (which can range from under $2 per square foot to $50 per square foot or more), the demolition and repair work required prior to installation, and the size of the job will all affect cost. You can install tile in the shower, on the counters, on the wall or on the floor. The national average for tile installation cost ranges between $490 and $750. Bathroom tile is easy to clean and durable for daily life. Here are some examples of average bathroom tile installation costs:

          • Tile installation at $25 per square foot of tiled bathroom area.
            • A standard tub and shower combo requires tiles for approximately 60 inches of length. Calculate wall height and add 30 to 36 inches of tub width for the walls at the head and foot of the tub. If the tile walls are 6 feet to 8 feet high, in this example, the tile installation costs would run about $2,000. Price includes materials.
          • Tile installation on a 3-foot by 5-foot regular tub and shower walls with an 8-foot ceiling: $1,450. Price includes materials.
          • Tile installation on a 3-foot by 5-foot regular tub and shower walls with a 10-foot ceiling: $1,650. Price includes materials.

How much does it cost to install tile?

Tile installation costs vary widely depending on the tiles you choose, where you want them installed, and what kind of demolition and surface preparation you need to have done. The national average cost for a tile installation project is $490-$750. The more tiles that need to be cut by hand and laid on the surface, the higher the total cost. Tile installation professionals can handle many different types of stone, ceramic and porcelain tiles, applying them in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and entranceways. They can create anything from artistic mosaic backsplashes in your kitchen to modern shower enclosures to rustic patios in your backyard. Tile installation professions often can remove existing flooring or old tiles and replace drywall. Tile prices range from $1 to more than $50 per square foot — handmade ones are even priced individually — depending on the material. Rustic, handmade or special-use tiles cost more to install because they must be applied to the surface one by one, rather than in a sheet. For most jobs, tile installation costs are based on the square footage of the project. For example, a standard 6-foot by 8-foot shower tile installation can average $1,200-$1,600, depending on whether the tiles go to the top of the shower or to the ceiling. The total cost of a tiling project also includes the grout and mortar, speciality tiles like bullnose caps, and tile mounting materials like backer board.

How much does it cost to install tiles in a kitchen?

One of the most common kitchen upgrades is installing decorative backsplash tiles in the space between the counters and cabinets. It’s a chance for homeowners to get creative while also protecting the kitchen walls from splashes and stains. Like all tiling projects, kitchen tile project costs depend on the tiles you choose, installation materials such as grout and mortar, and any surface materials, like replacement backer board. The national average for a tiled kitchen backsplash is $490-$750. In general, pricing averages $10-$40 per square foot for installation, not including tile. Some professional tile installers have a minimum day rate for small projects, which averages $350.
