You began asking for extra things that weren't discussed initially and so I was doing my best to do more for you because I know how special a baby shower is. After the agreed-upon payment for the agreed-upon items, this client asked for brand new cake stands for display and a helium tank for extra helium balloons. Both with I agreed to get for him despite it not being discussed in the beginning and therefore not included in the original quote. Other decorators would have just said no to the free add-ons. My website is built and run by a third-party company. My other clients both from thumbtack and others ask for reference photos of my work, which I gladly share with them! I never said to this client, nor passed off the reference photos from my site or ones we shared through text as if they were mine. I texted you reference photos of the ideas you requested. I am sorry that this is what you assumed. I had on the contract that the deposit was non-refundable because that deposit went towards 5FT OH BABY marquee letters, over 800 balloons at your request of wanting so many, a cake set, oh baby light up letters, multiple backdrops, items for custom centerpieces, and booking the day of, which now because of the last-minute cancellation I have already turned down other customers for that date. As previously mentioned I was ready and looking forward to decorating for this grand event. I was prepared, had a team ready, and was excited to bring this baby shower decor to life. I cannot control that you wished to cancel three-four days before. Once again I'm sorry your mind changed about working with me. I will be sure to have the company update my site and will update the thumbtack photos with my own work because this assumption should not have lead to a cancelation which both of us have spent time and money preparing for.
