I was getting estimates for repair/painting the exterior of my home in Stone Mountain. When I met Mr Ricker, I knew that his company would be the one I would choose. He spent a good amount of time with me listening to what I had in mind, looking at the house, discussing my options, and writing up a very detailed estimate. He listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and followed through on what he said his people would do. He was actively onsite during the process, making sure that everything was going along as it should, and answering any questions I had a long the way. I was so impressed that I even included gutters in this project. I would highly recommend Cutting Edge Painting for your repair and painting needs!

I have used Rick Ricker's company, Cutting Edge Painting (CEP), to do several projects for me. A year or so ago I wanted the interior of my house painted. I was looking for a painter with a reputation of "perfection and reliability".... one who did the work (not just manage but on site working) and stood behind his work. I heard that Rick was starting a painting company in the area and that he had the qualifications I demanded. I met with Rick, talked about the project and his work philosophy -- I liked what I heard. He bid the job and was awarded the contract. His work and that of his other painters was everything I expected -- job done on time and on bid. At the same time I had CEP put railings on the front entryway to the house. Again, job well done. I was very impressed with the work Rick and his company did and so when it came time to paint the exterior of the house (several months later) I again contacted CEP/Rick to bid the job. CEP was given the contract for the project. He made several suggestions about this project and the way he recommended doing it -- all turned out extremely well and the job was completed on time and within budget. While on the job I asked him to solve an under the counter lighting problem in the kitchen. He provided a solution and did the work himself -- all to my satisfaction. Several months later I decided to redo the large deck on the back of my house. I talked about the project with Rick and one of the builder/carpenters he works with. They came up with a proposal that included strengthening the support of the deck and recommended using Trex for the deck surface. Also included in the project was a rebuild of the railings and steps up to the deck. The project was completed on time and within budget. I was very impressed with the work, the carpentry and Rick's management of the project. All the people I encountered on these projects were pleasant, enjoyable to have on site, answered my questions that I consistently pestered them with (learning as the projects evolved) and all were very competent in their job areas. Rick has followed up with me on all projects to make sure all is well and as I expected. I have no problem recommending CEP and Rick Ricker.

Very fast and good worker. He fitted us into his schedule which was fantastic as we had to paint our apt at a very short notice.

Cutting Edge Painting painted my conference room, 3 hallways, and two offices in my law firm for a very reasonable price. They brought their own paint and matched the color I already had in my lobby perfectly! I could not be happier with their performance and customer service. After the great job they did, I decided to use them to paint my home as well. I will recommend them to all my friends and family.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Interview the owner, primary officer, and/or project manager and make sure you are comfortable with their character and professionalism. Ask difficult questions in regards to the three Ps - Price, Product, and Process. If you are content to that point, allow them to send you a quote and make sure it is professionally written. Ask about service and product guarantees as well. A company that is confident in their work should warranty their products for at least 2 years from completion.
