Using the old bait and switch tactic to lure customers in to a product that he does not have, I wish I had listened to reviews I had read about this scam artist before I traveled 200 miles to look at his junkyard of pianos. The owner of A440 Pianos is Pascal Vieillard and you can find many valid reviews and other info regarding how he does business VIA Google. I read one review of a woman in Florida who traveled to Atlanta to see a piano that he supposedly sold in less than 24 hours and only informed her minutes before her arrival at his home that he no longer had the piano. Such happened VIA phone with me as well only minutes from when I arrived in town after a long drive. But we have plenty of others for you to look at he exclaimed so Im sure youll find something else. I continued on to his house, where I arrived at an old ranch style house with half of the mini blinds in shreds and a lawn that had not been maintained in forever. When I knocked at the basement door his assistant answered and I was led into his warehouse, which was actually a dirty old basement that looked like a junkyard for pianos, none of which I wouldve paid over $900.00 for. NOT ONE of the pianos that he had featured online was to be found (including the one that I had traveled to see), therefore proving that the pianos he lists on Craigslist and on his website are fake photos that are not his factual inventory. Bait and switch: He lured me in using a product that he never had and then tried to sell me on his existing junky inventory. Buyer beware! What you have here is someone trying to make a dollar dishonestly.

We are honest hard working people who were in the market to buy a piano for our son. We found one on craigslist I called a few piano distributors to ask if there was a consultant who could assist me. After numerous calls I was able to reach Pascal who agreed to meet me at the house the following day. After an extremely brief analysis of the piano he told me it was a piece of "junk" that it would cost more to fix up than it was worth. I thanked him for his opinion paid him his fee for the opinion and left. Only to find out two hours later he had come back and bought the piano.
I was devastated- I called him to ask why he had told me it was a piece of junk and why he would then proceed to go behind my back and buy the piano if it was such a piece of junk. His reply, "There is a sucker born every day and I will sell this piano on eBay for double the price to some sucker". I then asked him to tear up the check I had given him for a service he hadn't really supplied and he agreed. Two days later the check was cashed. This guy is as dishonest as it gets. Please don't be suckered like we were and stay clear of this guys. Just an FYI- if you call around to some of the piano stores in the area he well known by ALL in the profession and vehemently disliked because of how dishonest he is. Most of the piano shops in my area actually have his picture on the wall along with story of his indiction and felony offense for importing ivory into the States. Despicable! Beware!

On time , Job done right and price is competitive.My 100 yrs old piano was moved carefully and additional services were provided with a high level of expertise.

Pascal arrived on time--even though I had inadvertently transposed the numbers on my address--and then proceeded to swiftly and adeptly tune my baby grand piano, which, because it lived in Michigan with my elderly mother, had not been tuned or played very much at all since the 80s. As the piano is a family heirloom and thus priceless to me, I was very concerned about the process. I should not have worried, at all. I am back to pounding the keys of a an expertly-tuned instrument . A440 Pianos is A++++. I will recommended their services to everyone!
