Mark reviewed the manuscript of my novel (82,000 words). I was very impressed with Mark's work, and would not hesitate to hire him again. His comments were intelligent and incisive and, perhaps more important than anything else, he understood what I was trying to do in my work. (As I said to someone else, "he describes my characters better than I do!") Mark Vanderpool is exceptionally knowledgeable and highly sensitive to nuances of the written word. Moreover, he possesses a keen eye for errors others may have missed. His mastery of the rules of punctuation in English far exceeds my own, which made him the very person I needed to help polish my manuscript. I would be happy to seek his expertise again. I recommend him to other writers without hesitation.

I have had the great pleasure of working with Mark on a short book project. Mark copy edited my project with such attention to detail the book was 10x better for it. No only did he provide the copy editing but he also provided rational for his edits, suggestions for clarity and additional research, and guidance on how to build my information resource business. Mark Vanderpool was professional and understanding about my book. He accepted my request to have an introduction call prior to the possible hire; which I truly appreciated it. This was my first time hiring an editor. This is my first book so I was not at all comfortable with trusting someone with my newborn (manuscript), but it needed to be done. Mark understood and was so kind and patient with all my MANY questions and CONCERNS. He willingly opened up to me about his professional background and vast experiences in this profession which put me in a much needed comfort zone. He finds pleasure in assisting people like us (writers). He embraces new projects/stories. He really does!!!
He polished and refined my book. I could tell that he focused on my story and respected my way of writing. He offered advice and shared his opinion about what I may want to think about revising...than he provided an example.
