FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In our field we have to take 35 hours of continuing education courses every two years in order to renew our license. On Friday I will begin a 6 month training on the use of Sand Trays in therapy with children. I am looking forward to it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Choose the therapist that you feel comfortable with. It can sometimes take 2 to 3 different therapists until you find the right one.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I wish that people didn't feel that there was a stigma surrounding therapy and getting help for children, families, and mental health. Therapy, especially for children can change people's lives and help make family relationships so much stronger.
