Alexandra helped me every step of the way. She made me feel like a top priority and was always there to answer any question I had. She guided me throughout the case, and had a real concern to help. She was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When I have a prospective client I like to do one thing that is very simple- listen. Divorce issues are emotional, exhausting and also overwhelming. Many attorneys begin to discuss the legal process instead to soon, instead of of taking a moment to meet the client and hear their story. Learning about someone's personal situation helps me to understand what our goals will be and what the most important issues are to the person as an individual and not as a case file. I like to explain the actual process of the legal proceeding and discuss all the different options and ways a divorce can be handled. I also explain county specific process and requirements so there are no surprises. My objective is to make the client feel comfortable about their decision and confidant in their new attorney. I consider myself to be an empathetic person and I treat all of my clients the way I would want to be treated, or a family member or loved one. The attorney client relationship is special and divorce is memorable. My focus is making this life transition as seamless as possible while making sure you, the client, are protected.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As an undergraduate student I received a pre law concentration to my major in philosophy where I studied the theory of law and the justice system. I worked in a large civil law firm as an intern before beginning my next step as research assistant to criminal defense investigator and firm president, Charles Mittelstadt. I focused on criminal defense and learned strategic ways to analyze discovery and organize evidence with a fine tooth comb. I became very educated and comfortable with the investigative process and was front row to several high profile criminal defense cases. I fueled my passion for justice while I attended law school full time for three years and also continued my work. I dedicated a portion of time to a non profit organization The Thirteen and a Half Foundation, which serves to raise awareness of the flaws in the criminal justice system and the staggering rise of wrongful convictions in the United States. When I embarked on my career as family law attorney I grew my love for all facets of the law and have uncovered my own strengths in helping families through emotional legal proceedings. I also represent my clients zealously related to Domestic Violence and Child Custody.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I wish more customers understood that as attorneys we work diligently and exhaustively to achieve the best results of our clients; but we do not have a magic wand nor do we know all the answers. A great attorney client relationship is built on trust and communication.
