Introduction: Need a place for your kid to stay for a bit while you run out? Maybe you need to go buy groceries, or run to the bank. Maybe you just need a break. Well, why not send them to a place where they can have fun and be enriched? Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Christina, and I am eighteen years old. I graduated from Lassiter High School in May of 2010. Throughout my younger school years, I struggled but finally, I got some teachers who really fit my learning style and I rose above. In my high school career, I took all upper level literature courses, so my strong point is English. However, I do have a firm understanding of Math, and I am capable of helping. I specialize in tough cases. Can your kid not read at his grade level? Does your kid not get math as well? Maybe all your kid needs is someone to fix that, and I can give that. Teachers nowadays don't have time to give that. Important note: I cannot move freely as often as I would like, so the tutoring will be held at my place. If this is an issue for you, perhaps we can work out where we can meet in a library. Services include: * Homework help - Is your kid struggling with his homework? I can give him the confidence to have him power through it, and make sure he knows and understands it, and not just give him the answers. * General topic study - Want to get ahead of the gang? If you give me a list of future topics for each subject, I will help your child get advanced knowledge on it. If your child hears the information before with me and then they are instructed in class, then he will get it down pat because it's already in his memory! * Fun and enriching games - Come on, I know what your kids want most of all - fun! I have many enriching games dealing with things, from multiplication facts to sentence structure. Your kids will do what they love, and have fun with it! * Motivating reward system - My mother is a teacher, and I have seen that rewards really keep kids going. The reward system I use is called the 'Sticker System'. Your child will get a sticker chart and receive stickers for good behavior, right answers, excellent test grades, and they will -+. I charge $15.00 per hour. Please note that I will only take cash. Is there an additional child of yours who you would like to be tutored on at the same time? I only add $3 for an additional child, if it is your child also. Group session: I charge $10.00 per hour for a group session (will possibly include 3).
