Hiring Betsy as our coordinator was the very best decision we made in our wedding planning process. From the very first interactions (just about 2 months out from the wedding!), Betsy was warm, professional, knowledgeable and just an absolute joy to be around. I handled the vast majority of our wedding planning myself, and looping Betsy in lifted such a weight from my shoulders immediately. She asked questions in our first meeting that I would have never though of, and quickly put together a detailed timeline of the evening. Our wedding was just over 145 guests, ceremony in a church with an off-site reception at Upstairs Atlanta. Betsy coordinated the reception for us since the church provided a coordinator for the ceremony. Betsy took over vendor communications a week before the wedding and I didn't have to think about a single detail once the decor drop took place. Arriving at the reception was 100% stress free, everything was perfectly executed. Decor was set up exactly as I imagined or better and all vendors were on the same page the whole night. My husband and I threw Betsy a big curveball as soon as we arrived, nixing an hour of photographs in favor of just getting the party going. She handled it quickly and expertly and we were able to get guests eating within 15 minutes. Throughout the whole night Betsy was like my fairy godmother, she made the night go smoothly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. When we made our exit there were dinners packed up for us as well as a sampling of our wedding cake donuts. Such a treat when we got to our hotel. Betsy recently planned an engagement party for me and my fiancé’. We wanted an “I Do” BBQ theme because it was going to be outside and it aligned well with our rustic themed wedding. What a spectacular event! She can even make a BBQ elegant and special. She also worked within our meager budget and offered do it yourself options to save us money. I can NOT say enough good things about Betsy. She's so fun and personal, and made our wedding go off without a hitch. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Our pricing includes basic services that are listed on our website. We are happy to complete additional services that would add to the price. We also are willing to travel to locations for an additional fee to cover the expense.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?It is very important for me to build a trusting and collaborative relationship with each client from the first meeting. That's why I offer a complimentary consultation, either in person or over the phone. While lots of business can be completed via email, getting to know the style and personality of clients is not one of them! After the initial consultation, I will provide you with a detailed proposal for you to review. If you hire me, we will sign a business contract and be available to get started. I am available for questions, recommendations, tips and will be responsive to your needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been planning corporate and private events since 1994 and am a Certified Project Manager. I have also completed the Event Blueprint certification course. I am Prosci change management certified, as well. This is helpful as we walk through communication needs for your event.
