Hassan and his team came at short notice to fix our AC. They quicly identified the issue, replaced a capacitor and resolved it at a very reasonable charge. Hassan and his team member were very friendly, courteous and professional during the entire time. Hassan also identified the duct in attic has blown off and despite a very hot attic, they patiently patched it for a temporary relief from sweltering heat weave. We have fixed another appt in the morning to permanently fix the ducting. I will highly recommend Hassab for any HVAC issues. A great find via Thumtack.

Had a tech come out just yesterday and he said I’ll need a new damper - $600 😱 quick search on Google shows the part for less than 160 - hard pass. So I decided to try thumbtack to see if I can get an available tech to change it at a more fair price. Submitted my info and in less than a minute Hassan called. Very cordial and we had a service window same day, just a few hours away. They showed up before the window and quickly changed the damper, he then proceeded to verify that all was well - something was off, the unit wasn’t cooling as expected. Damper was working but the air temp from the vent was higher than expected. They asked how old was the unit, about two months old, strange! Let’s see your outside unit he says. They checked the outside unit with computer which showed it to not have enough gas for how it was installed. “They didn’t calculate using the length of the lineset” extra gas was needed to compensate for the length of the lineset. They showed me on the computer, added gas, then showed the difference. They then checked looked at the other unit to see how it was setup, for his own records he said, in the event it needs to be worked on. Hassan is was HVAC instructor for 15 years. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable crew to work on your system. Let me add this - very important - they are not crooks! Many of you reading this review have been hustled by crooked service techs. Happens frequently in the HVAC business because you are at their mercy when you have an issue. I’ve taken the time to learn as much as I can about the systems over the years. This way I can tell if I’m being taken for a ride. I felt at ease with Coolmax/Hassan as they were not there to milk money from me. There to do a quality job for fair price and they did just that. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Coolmax to service your HVAC. Hassan is honest and very knowledge. He knows these systems inside out. He’ll charge fair and stand by his work. Can’t say more than that. I’ll be using them for my properties exclusively going forward. I’ve worked with more than six HVAC companies in the last 9 months, over the years? More than 20 maybe, various properties. These are the most technically competent techs I’ve seen.
