FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always learning and studying so I can be better able to assist my clients in working on their own growth. I have studied this work for over 25 years and have a lot of good insight and awareness that I can offer to my clients.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When choosing someone to help you navigate the issues in your life, there are many things to consider. It is important to ask questions. Ask about the professional's training and specialties. Determine the fees and if there is a sliding scale. Pay attention to how you feel when you talk with the therapist. If it doesn't feel like a good fit for you, trust your instincts and don't make an appointment. It is important to feel safe and secure with the person you hire. _________________________ When choosing a couples therapist, make sure the therapist has had special training for work with couples. There are several well known methods such as IMAGO and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) that focus specifically on working with the bonds between partners. I have been trained in EFT and participate in ongoing supervision and consultation with some of the best experts in the country. ___________________________ I am happy to offer a free 15 minute phone consultation.
