Taking violin lessons (and now viola) with Paige. It's been a much better experience for me than my first time trying to learn violin. I appreciate that she's willing to adapt her lessons to my own goals and also select music that is actually pleasing to listen to even for an absolute beginner. As some other reviews mentioned, she's also very quick to reply to any messages.

I took guitar lessons from Parker for over 4 years. The only reason that I stopped was because he moved away to complete his Masters degree at University of Texas. When I started my lessons with Parker I had not touched my guitar in over 30 years. Parker had me up and comfortable playing very quickly. Within about three months I had joined a rock band playing rhythm guitar and a year later I started my own band playing lead guitar. I could not have done this without Parker's amazing ability to help me learn new songs and playing techniques quickly. Parker has a great ear for music and can figure out songs/chords that others can't get. I cannot recommend Parker more strongly. A great musician, teacher, and a genuinely nice guy!

What a great experience my son has had since starting guitar lessons at Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music. The staff could not be nicer or more professional. The teachers are all highly experienced, and you can just tell that they love what they do. They make the children, and the parents, feel like family. I wouldn't take my child any place else, and I would highly recommend this music school to anyone - great place!

I've been working with Derek now for a few years and I have learned so much and have expanded my guitar playing more than I could ever imagine. He encouraged me to truly be a part of the music and song. At first I was afraid of making mistakes and he taught me that keeping the integrity of the song is more important than focusing on the mechanics of playing. I can't imagine taking guitar lessons from anyone else!! He is a very encouraging teacher and has an incredible amount of experience in the music industry. If you're interested in taking music lessons, I highly recommend contacting Derek Ferwerda!!

When my daughter decided she wanted to play the guitar, I happened upon Tyson Farmer's website and decided to give him a try. Since Day 1, he's been engaging and encouraging. My daughter tends to be shy, but she quickly warmed up to Tyson. She often tells me how funny he is. She is excited to go to her weekly lessons and is showing great confidence in her abilities. I am very happy with our experience.

In a few words, I never thought I was going to be able to play the bass. Now I am. And I owe it to Linda. She's the most patient, talented, resourceful teacher I've ever met. She's fun to be around and is always interested in learning new songs just so she can teach me. I would recommend Linda to anyone who not only wants to learn how to play an instrument but is also looking for having a good time while learning. Thank you for everything, Linda!

About

My teaching style is based on creating a patient and creative environment where you’re comfortable taking chances and learning from mistakes. Luckily in music it’s what you do after a mistake that matters. I also build on what you already know and pointing out what you're doing right. I try to incorporate the music you want to learn in lessons as much as possible. Most importantly I teach you how to practice so that you get the most out of your guitar when you're not in your lesson.  I have 2 ebooks on online called “Guitar Mechanics I and II”. The books compliment lessons so our time is spent showing you how to play and with us playing together. The books have tab with rhythm, chord/scale diagrams and a written description of each topic. They also show you how music fits together and give you a solid foundation to build on with musical concepts you can use.

About

I tailor-make my lessons to the goals, needs and vision of each individual student and I strive to create a friendly learning environment for all my students. My lessons emphasize proper technique and a strong musical foundation, which free the student to be able to play any style or artist that interests them. My friendly approach to lessons is great for younger students as well as professionals.

About

I work with students' individual interests and strengths to create an exciting learning track, combining their favorite songs with music theory lessons so that they understand what makes their favorite music tick, in the hope that they too will grow to be creators of music many will love. My goal is always to teach my students well enough that they'll grow self-sufficient in their pursuit of musical knowledge and give them the right tools to apprehend and take charge of each challenge on the way.
