Very unprofessional! Beware! First off let me say that price wise Jerry Hope was very responsibly priced. I was initially quoted $70 per season to do Guard dog training for my 2. Year old Doberman. I was later offered a discounted rate of $50 per session if I book 6 sessions of front (Totaling $300). After comparing prices with some larger training companies I felt that was an exceptional deal. Jerry came to my home and conducted an in home consultation. We talked for some time and he told me he wrote a book about breeding, which was very impressive. However, he didn't even meet my dog before requesting payment to book. I insisted that he meet my dog first in order to gauge her and vice versa. Initially I felt it was a little strange that I should have to suggest that. But I'm thinking maybe it was an honest mistake. I showed him the commands that I had already taught her and they played a good while with her favorite tennis ball. After a while we ended the consultation and I agreed to pay Jerry with my Credit Card. However, he said that he didn't have square and his PayPal account was out of order. He said he would look into setting another one up and get back to me. Later that evening I received an invoice from Jerry but instead of the company being listed as Canine Behavior Clinic, it said something like Hi-Hope..LLC (attached). After speaking with my husband he asked for the contract to review and I realized that I was so excited that I failed to ask for one. There were so many red flags at this point. So I texted Jerry and asked for one. His very unprofessional response in short was, (paraphrasing) If I have to give you a contract, you would have to pay for my lawyer to draft/proofread etc. because I don't have one that I provide when the dog remains in the owners possession (I've attached the texts for you to read yourself). Of course, my response was that I will absolutely under no circumstances incur your legal expense for drafting a contract for your business. The moral of the story is you get what you pay for. We have decided to move forward with another company but I wanted to take the time to write this review so that I may help the next person. I may also help Jerry to improve on the next potential Customer's experience.
