Mr Washington is a great teacher. We hired him to provide drum lessons for a young man at our church. We have seen awesome growth in a fairly short period of time. He is very skilled, knowledgeable and patient with his students. If you have a child that desires to play drums or if you desire to play drums, you can find no greater teacher.
Mostai helped me with initiating the contact between me and my children's music instructor. Since I live on the border of metro Atlanta, I had a feeling that it was going to be a challenge to find a great pianist to teach my children how to play the piano. Mostai went above and beyond and found a great pianist--Lacie! Lacie is doing a wonderful job with teaching my children. My children are enthusiastic about learning to play the piano, and they are progressing to great accomplishments.
Abdala is a fantastic teacher that I took lessons with when I was the age of 16 through the age of 18. He was able to effectively take me, student who had been playing for 6 years, and bring me back to the basics and enhance where I was at the time. Through Abdala's lessons, I was able to learn the skills necessary to get into Berklee College of Music on a scholarship. Highly recommended for anyone who is seeking to learn the art of percussion the right way!
Greg's been fantastic to work with. He asked what I wanted to learn and has catered his lessons to my goals. Exactly what I needed. He's very patient with me, and makes the practices fun. I look forward to them each week.
Brian did a fantastic job teaching drum with my son. All I heard from my son's comments about Brian was that instructor Brian was really inspiring! My son enjoys music a lot more because of Brian! Thank you!!
Of all the drum teachers that have taught me, Daniel is by far the very best. I first began learning how to play the drums in 2007 and have been taught by numerous teachers. In late in 2009 Daniel began teaching me and my skill level increased dramatically. Daniel was drum teacher for 5 years until I moved out of town. When he started teaching me I was able to cover simple songs such as AC/DC and moved under his expert instruction to playing some of the most complicated Rush songs in only a few months. Daniel is extremely knowledgable and has a lot practical experience. He has a very collaborative, easy to like and friendly teaching stye and understood my goals as a drummer very quickly. Since being taught by Daniel, I have played drums for several successful bands and music projects and am continuing to play regularly. I know that I would never have achieved the skill level I have without the excellent tuition I received from Daniel!
Professional attitude, communicates exercises well. Great personality. Highly recommended.
Ted is an extremely experienced and professional drummer, as well as a respectful and thoughtful person. His lessons have been invaluable to me in the several months that I've been taking them, and I have noticed a huge difference not only in how I play, but how I think about playing. Couldn't be happier with my choice of teacher, and can't wait to continue future lessons with Ted!
Smok did a great job cultivating our sons natural abilities and we felt safe with his direction of our 8 year old. He was on time, professional, patient and made the lessons fun. I would recommend Smok to anyone wanting lessons as he has the ability to tailor them to any age. His industry and musical background were very helpful to the growth of my sons experience.
I offer private drum lessons to students of all ages. I teach various styles and sight-reading on percussion instruments such as drum set, snare drum (rudiments, marching and concert band), bells, djembe, etc.
I am a professional musician, and I play drums for a national recording artist and also teach/instruct lessons.
I have a passion for drumming & I enjoy teaching students who feel the same.
I give drum lessons to anybody who is willing to learn and do not waste time. What makes my business is I put my heart in anything I do.
I am a professional touring drummer in Atlanta, GA available for drum lessons. I teach ages 8 years old and up. All skill sets are welcome. Make rhythm a part of your life.
To start, I've been actively playing drums in bands for over a decade. I love working with new drummers. When I started playing drums, I took drum lessons myself for years making sure to learn proper technique. Even though many people can play drums, teaching drum lessons takes someone that cares about the growth of their students. My goal is to teach you and get you excited about playing, learn the technical side of drumming, and also how to let lose and really 'own' it.
I am a recent Graduate from the Atlanta institute of music. I offer lessons for all levels of students. Currently an Assistant band director at St. Catherine's and the percussion instructor there so I can also offer help with concert percussion.
I am very involded in what my students do. I try to keep them ahead of the game in reading and playing. I want them to bring in here school music to their lesson. I know you will not find a full drum teacher as myself that can teach all styles. My youngest studnt started at age 4 and a half and she is still taking lessons fom me
My love for drumming I want to share with the world. Teaching those how to enjoy and perfect the art of percussions is my greatest joy. Aside from instruction I also offer performance services for bands (corporate/party), and religious organizations.
27 year old professional musician Casey Crogan has been rising as a first-call drummer for performance, instruction, and studio session work in the Atlanta area over the past 6 years. Within that short time, Casey has toured the country several times over, recorded with countless regional, national and local artists, and has gained a positive reputation in the Atlanta community as a unique, innovative, and passionate drum teacher. Casey has experience teaching ages 5-65, from private to group lessons (Casey has been a camp counselor for Summer Music programs). Casey can travel to you, but he prefers teaching from his home drum studio (with 2 drum kits for enhanced visual learning)! Based within a fun, relaxed context, Casey has developed a natural teaching method that focuses on learning and understanding the building blocks of drum set playing, familiarizing and connecting these building blocks, and applying them to individual expression. He has the ability to take nearly anyone without prior drum set or rhythmic experience, and, within days, turn them into beat-playing drummers. His approach focuses on the following: * having fun * building an understanding and relationship with each drum * the basic rudimentary foundation of drumming * how to approach the drums, hold the sticks, set up the drums, and tune the drums * basic mechanical techniques * development of each limb * learning how to read basic drum charts and play to them * learning and playing the most significant beats and patterns in the history of drum set *how to play in a band *learning your favorite songs * gaining the ability to effectively teach oneself how to improve as a drummer
