Pros: Free measure and estimate, fast ordering and install process, decent price. Cons: the installers damaged the paint on approx. 20 linear feet of trim. Now I have to sand/repaint that, and risk getting paint on my brand new carpet. Totally inexcusable. And the stair install is loose on the sides, and can be peeled back in one corner. Stu Trau (P&Q) refused to take responsibility for anything, and refused to fix anything. They blamed my trim paint, which did scratch off easily (even though it's 2 coats of Behr Premium Paint+ Primer). They said the stairs were done right, but some of it was definitely not done right. Stay away from them, unless you plan on repainting your trim, and are willing to live with a substandard carpet installation.

Unfortunately for this client, he used the wrong paint on his trim. The instant it was touched the paint lifted off the surface. The carpet install crew was the first to have contact with the surface. We install carpet daily, and have never had any paint related issues in the past. The client was upset at the situation, however the person who applied the paint is ultimately responsible. All work was inspected by a site manager and deemed to be installed correctly.

Stuart and his team have been outstanding every time I have used them. I am an interior designer, and I have used them on many projects. They are always very timely, professional, and courteous to my clients. The workmanship is always exceptional. Whether it's re-finishing hardwoods or installing carpet, they pay attention to detail, and it shows. They are also very diligent to clean up after themselves, and they never leave a jobsite messy.

I am so pleased with the installation of my carpet that Stu and his crew provided. They were efficient, friendly, cleaned up all debris, vacuumed the carpet before leaving and were kind enough to offer to put my couch and loveseat back into the room, although we had moved the furniture out ourselves. This has been a great experience and should I ever be asked, will recommend your company without hesitation!! 100% satisfaction! This company and crew were professional from beginning to end!

I was in the middle of getting quotes from Home Depot, Empire and decided to look for one more. I went to Google Search and found P&Q Flooring on Thumbtack. P&Q was the quickest to respond to my request. Richard came out and measured our project and gave us a carpet selection that we wanted and their quote came in lower that the other two quotes. Sevy and his team showed up two days later and had the entire basement completed in one day, leaving no mess and very professional. I was completely satisfied and will definintely use P&Q Flooring on my next carpet/wood flooring project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we discuss the project with the client, we usually do an onsite estimate to determine the scope. Offering suggestions and showing samples is followed by a free estimate for the work. After an agreement has been reached, we will order any necessary materials and schedule the installation date. Upon completion, we will walk the project with the client to review status and address any concerns if necessary.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our estimators and installers all have years of practical hands on experience with every floor finish we provide. Continued training is always ongoing as we change and continue to grow.
What types of customers have you worked with?
P&Q Flooring is a dedicated flooring contracting company. We refinish hardwood floors and sell and install new hardwood as well. We also sell and install carpet and vinyl planks. We do not dilute our services by offering counter tops and general contracting. However, we work in tandem with other companies that provide these services and can gladly refer you to a quality company.
