David did a great job of power washing the cement patio, brick retaining wall and wood deck and then staining the deck. It looks so clean and neat now. David was timely and very polite. He even replaced a few boards, lag bolts, and sanded rough railings.
Scoa Remodeling installed new deck boards to replace the old ones. The price was fair, great quality, and they finished when promised. They cleaned up good afterwards too. We will use them again in the future.
Robert replaced our deck steps and railing and did a great job. He was prompt, efficient and work was well done.
I hired TNT to do a rebuild and re-pitch of a roof over my sun porch, delete skylights, install 2 new doors for said porch, and fix various places that had water damage around the house, to include an area under the deck that was causing the deck to pull away from the house. With that amount of work needed, and before I talked to anyone, I knew the price for the work would be in the upper thousands. I chose TNT because they had a very fair price in the middle of the range of quotes I got, and the best value for that money. One thing I encourage anyone hiring a contractor to do is make up and sign a contract with them. DO THIS with ANY contractor, and LEAVE THE DEAL if they give you a hard time about wanting a contract. Michael and TNT have a contract already made up, and you and them can add/take out whatever you want before the job even starts. Michael even told me that he really liked that I asked for a contract because it protects BOTH parties. On my end, I put in a provision that before I gave him any money, I had to have a walk around with them and let them know whether or not the work was up to my liking. This was no problem, and they would answer any questions my wife or I had, and showed us examples if needed. So, really everyone, always get a contract!! As for the work, everything looks great! Our roof actually lets water drain into our gutters instead of leaking into our sun room. Our house does not have any more holes in it from water damage or animals, and it really helped the curb appeal of the house. Most important, the deck was not just pulling away from the house the joists under our master the deck was attached to were water damaged. I was shown where all of the problems were so I could understand what was happening and how they would be corrected. It only added 1 day to the timeline, which we were glad about. The guys (mostly Michael's sons) came on time, and cleaned up after themselves everyday. We have 2 dogs who use the backyard and the gate was not left open once when they weren't there. We can't even say that about ourselves. Hopefully you have read this far down and I hope I have helped ease your mind about going with TNT. You won't regret it. Ask for the contract, make it your own, and enjoy whatever project they do for you!
Doug and his wife pretty much did my whole house. Every room in my house was done by Doug. From painting, to floors, electric work, plumbing, and also a lot of beautiful outside work including my deck. I couldn't be more happier with my new house and the price you can't beat.
Joseph recently constructed the foundation for 2 new stair railings as well as installed the wooden and iron posts, balusters and rails to complete our stair remodeling project. (We removed several walls and he replaced them with rails to open up our split-level foyer)He is very professional and personable, works hard and diligently to achieve customer satisfaction. I am a picky customer and he was patient with any special requests and completed our project to our specifications to be sure it looked brand new! His pricing is super reasonable and fair. We are very happy with his work and will be calling on his services for future projects because there isn't much he can't do! Thanks Joseph!
As a production manager for the largest scattered lot, custom home builder in the nation, I work with many contractors and trade partners and am accustom to the logistical challenges scattered lot building creates. Mr. Pollard easily overcame these challenges and delivered a great product, within the time frame he stated. My customers were very pleased with the quality of materials used and the craftsmanship of Bennie's work. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the market for wrought iron or metal fabrication and installation. I will use him for all future projects requiring this scope of work. His prices are affordable and did not change once quoted. He conducted himself professionally throughout our dealings and again, he delivered high quality work on time and budget while wowing my customers! I will add a close up of his work as soon as possible but the below picture has the 2-3/4" wrought iron porch and stair railing fabricated and installed by Pollard Fab and Cnst!
Mr. Baynes has been a contractor for me for numerous projects in my home. The scope and nature of the project work included entire interior and exterior painting of a 6800 sq. ft. home, deck restoration and painting, siding replacement, new construction of sunroom, power washing of house exterior and driveways, new appliance installations, wall and ceiling replacement after major water damage, carpet installation, tile refinishing in the bath area, painting of exterior rod iron fence and gates and widow re-sealing and re-glazing. While home improvement projects are inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Mr. Baynes’s services as a contractor were invaluable, and I have been extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Mr. Baynes top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently. Mr. Baynes was knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in his respective trades. He was conscientious about all of the project specifications, and his work product rarely needed improvement or revision. 2. Quality of work. Mr. Baynes was professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of my property and privacy. He had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. His pride in his work was evident. He tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found him to be trustworthy, and felt comfortable with allowing him access inside my home. 3. Project management and coordination. Mr. Baynes’s prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of my projects, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities, effectively. 4. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the projects, I was impressed with Mr. Baynes’s commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. 5. Effective communication. Mr. Baynes kept me closely informed of work schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of the projects. His communication was always clear, informative, and helpful. 6. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., water damage behind a wall; he worked diligently with me to identify solutions that was acceptable to me. 7. Responsiveness to my needs and concerns. Mr. Baynes’s commitment to my satisfaction was evident in his actions. 8. Truth in advertising. In his proposal, Mr. Baynes gave a clear breakdown of costs for each facet of the projects. His contract was just as detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon, and there were no hidden costs, extra expenses or unpleasant surprises. As a homeowner and customer, I felt Ms. Baynes delivered exactly what he had promised, at the agreed upon price.
We brought Jerry out for a countertop installation quote. However, after meeting with Jerry and discussing other concerns we decided to hire him for a painting job that we had been putting off. Jerry painted our whole downstairs, double foyer, stairs, hallway, and nursery for a very reasonable price. We were impressed with the attention to detail since our walls, trims and ceilings needed a little TLC. Jerry did a lot of patchwork, sanding and overall cosmetic fixes before painting. The final job looks wonderful and we are very excited about it! He was fast, reasonable, and always kept lines of communication open. We definitely plan on using him in the future!
Penny Construction was very professional and extremely cordial to my 73 yr old mom. I have used Thumb Tack before my own home and was very pleased with the quality of work. When my mom who lives 100 miles away needed a new deck and some rock work on her home.I went to thumbtack and Kevin Penny immediately answered and set up a time for an estimate that was within my moms budget. Even with me being 100 miles away Kevin kept me updated on the progress ,by phone text and pictures of the job. My Mom and myself love the deck . Mr. Penny took awesome care of my mom and informed her of everything that was needed and was just plain nice and respectful. I would recommend Penny Construction for any needs you may have. Excellent work excellent gentleman and company.
Ben replied to my request right away and came to my home to see what he had to do. The price was what he estimated on line and that was satisfactory with me so we set up the day he would do the job. He was there on time and went right to work. He did such a nice job and was so professional and pleasant. The stair rail he installed in my stairwell was so beautiful and looked just right in my 150 year old home. I would highly recommend Ben, and I have hired him to do several more improvement projects on my house.
Daryl did very nice work on my porch railing, reattaching old iron to new cedar posts. He communicated well and there were no surprises. Would recommend Daryl and his work.
Awesome Iron was quick to respond and come out to quote our front porch custom railing. We wanted something which looked really nice but didn’t break the bank. Awesome Iron came out, presented some standard options and then drew out some custom designs based on some features of our house. It was nice to see some artistic talent involved. So you could really go in any direction you wanted. We decided on a design and within a few weeks it was ready and installed. Great quality and a very fair price. Highly recommended!!!!
I am extremely satisfied with this team's work. They are able to tackle a huge array of jobs and complete them with skill and attention to detail. Flooring, painting, trim work, fence repair, plumbing, hanging light fixtures, oak staircase, metal roofing, shingle roofing, power washing.
Had Jim Hilliker build a deck on the back of my law practice in Columbus, Ga. He was reliable, professional, and economical. Would highly recommend him for any home improvements, additions, etc. Happy with the results
I used Alberto to do numerous projects which included pressure washing , painting my deck and bathroom ,hanging light fixtures and some plumbing, Alberto did exactly what he said he would do . I found his prices extremely fair. He is honest and must responsible I highly recommend him
I know Ric well and he has completed several large projects and a large additional addition with vaulted ceiling in a family room with 1/2 bath, reconfigured stairs, fireplace, deck etc. This project was an addition to a 50 year old house with all the issues you would expect and Ric has a skill of listening to the customer until he knows what they want and then comes through every time. I continue to hire him as my first option. Very pleased with all his work and have used him for over 5 years.
Bid came in less than all of the other contractors and work was top-notch. He disassembled and removed a carport same day. Plan to hire again to build railing on exterior steps. Very professional and on time!
Charles did an outstanding job! He replaced rails on spindles on front porch that had rotted. He also replaced door and door jam for our son's bedroom and fixed broken spindle on staircase and repaired cracked window sill. We are so impressed with his craftmanship and will definitely be using him for future projects. He was punctual, fair pricing and went above and beyond our expectations!
