Scheduling
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Pony Tail Acres offers riding lessons at our facility in Powder Springs in Cobb County. We are conveniently located just minutes from Atlanta and offer very reasonable rates. Sorry we do not rent horses for trail rides. Rate Schedule Group (Max of 4 students) $140/month, 1 lesson per week Semi Private (2 students) $155/month, 1 lesson per week Private (1 student) $170/month, 1 lesson per week Private (1 student/ single lesson) $45 Established in 2009, Pony Tail Acres offers English riding lessons for all levels of equestrians, from pleasure riders to advanced competitors, both children and adults. Our riding program focuses primarily on Eventing and hunter/jumper training. We have group lessons available and semi-private or private riding lessons can be scheduled at your convenience. During the summer, we offer a Childrens Day Camp and we also participate in the US Pony Club and Horsemasters program through Pony Tail Acres Riding Center. Our lesson program is what we like to consider a Total Rider program. The rider not only learns how to ride, but how to care for their horse and equipment. Each lesson is an hour long which allows for grooming and tacking. As the student progresses in the program the instructor will start to recommend coming early and staying late to have the student groom and tack outside of the lesson time so that more time can be devoted to riding. We have lessons rain or shine and during rainy days the lessons will be conducted in the barn and will cover horse and equipment care that normally we do not have time to cover during a the riding portion of the lesson. The instructors at our facility hand pick our lesson horses and match each student to the best suited horse. We pride ourselves in providing safe and personable mounts for our riders. Our program allows for students to show off their abilities through horse showing. The farm attends many hunter/jumper and combined training events throughout the year as well as clinics from other instructors. Please inquire about availability if you would like to take lessons on your own horse (negative coggins on site required). There will be no refunds for classes missed, no show or otherwise. FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We recommend going to watch an instructor teach lessons at a facility that you are looking at possibly riding. Questions to ask yourself: Are the horses in good weight? Is safety for both horse and rider important? Does the instructor communicate well with students and their parents? Overall does this feel like a good fit for you or your child? Usually, just by visiting a lesson barn you can get a good feel of what it would be like to take lessons there.
